"Hotel and food"

4.0

The hotel is clean, the staff very friendly, but the food is terrible – everything comes from Lidl frozen products, no taste at all. The all-inclusive is a total waste of money; we eat out every day."

"Fun time had by all"

8.0

We stayed at this hotel for a family trip in the school holidays. We chose this hotel, due to the proximity to the local beach, bars and resturants and the fact that it had plenty of slides to keep the kids entertained. The hotel is a fairly short transfer ride from Girona airport, the only downside is the transfer bus drops you off a few minutes walk from the hotel, with a small but fairly steep hill to navigate. This will be fine for most people but if your party has elderly people or those with mobility issues it may be worth getting a taxi to the hotel. We have stayed in a few similar hotels to this in Spain, for kids holidays, and it compares fairly well. All of our party were allocated rooms on the ground floor, which was a bonus as there were no lifts for us to worry about, however I cannot comment on how good or bad they were, as we did not use them. The rooms themselves were an ok size, enough room for two adults and a child. The room was cleaned everyday, the air conditioning was very good, and the shower was powerful and modern. We had a decent sized balcony, however the beds were not the most comfy, but they never are on these types of holidays. It's also worth noting that there were no tea or coffee facilities in the room. The resort felt safe, and our 9 and 10 year old's in the party could happily run around on their own, making use of the many slides available, the only downside being that they close at certain points during the day. There is also a mini golf course, a smaller kids lazy river, climbing frames, and an area with water guns that the kids can fire at each other. The pool was a good size and the majority of the time did not feel too busy. There were plenty of sunbeds to go round, and a good sized indoor pool, if you wanted to get out of the sun for a bit. The food was nice, replenished quickly, and plenty of choice. The two downsides were that the plates were not cleaned away at all during our meal, and unlike other hotels where you help yourself to drinks, in this hotel when you get seated someone will come and take your drinks order. That's not a problem, however if you want another you have to try and find a waiter to get one, as they never come and ask if we wanted another drink. The entertainment was hit and miss some nights better than others. They had a silent disco, a magician, and a Spanish act, to name a few, but for the most part, the kids enjoyed it. The only other downside was the outside bar, who were very strict on the two drinks rule, however if you have other people in your party sat on a table less than 6 foot away from the bar, common sense would say you should be able to get up to 4 drinks at a time. However, if you wanted two drinks each, they would make the other person stand up and walk to the bar, even if they are almost in touching distance. It's a ridiculous rule, because you get two drinks and then have to rejoin the queue again to get more, so they aren't really making things any quicker. The kids enjoyed the arcade in the hotel lobby, as well as the PlayStation which is a euro for 10 minutes. The hotel is centrally located within a 5 minutes walk to the beach, and the main part of town where the bars and resturants are. Overall we had a good time, and the kids would certainly like to go back and visit. The only recommendations that I would suggest to improve the experience would be to clear plates quicker in the resturant, come round and offer more drinks to guests in the dining room, and if guests are sitting in the immediate bar area, relax the two drink rule, to stop people having to queue up twice.

"As expected!"

8.0

Stayed at this hotel for a week from 15th to 22nd August 2025 with my wife, our adult children and their partners and two grandchildren age 9 & 10. The hotel is situated approximately 6-8 minutes walk from the beach and town although there is a short steepish slope up to the entrance which the transfer coaches cannot come up so you have to walk up the slope with your luggage. Elderly or disabled may struggle with this. Once inside the check in process was fast but there is no offer of help with your luggage to your room. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable. Our room had a king size and a double bed, a small bathroom which was very modern and clean and the shower worked well. There was one fitted wardrobe and a safe which is free and there was a small fridge between the two beds which was topped up each day with bottles of water. Apart from a small bedside cabinet and a chair there are no other units such as a dressing table or desk or just somewhere to put your bits and pieces. There are no tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms so an early morning cuppa is out of the question unless you pop down to the restaurant to make one and bring it back which is not ideal. I was surprised to find our tv had BBC1 & 2 and ITV 1 & 2 although none of the rest of our party had this on their tv sets. The balcony was small but adequate for us. We were on the ground floor, close to the inside bar area so sometimes the noise of people returning to their rooms after a few drinks and with noisy kids was quite loud but not enough to cause us to complain. The main pool is large and shallow with a small area close to the flumes which was shoulder deep and I am 6 foot 2. There are three funnels for the kids to come down into a separate area which looked fun and my grandkids enjoyed them and there is a huge water slide - all well monitored by staff. On that note there is a very noticeable presence of security staff inside the hotel and at the entrance most of the time. There are other amenities such as crazy golf, archery etc so plenty to do and there are activities throughout the day for the kids. Although the hotel was predominantly full with British holiday makers the entertainment staff do not at any time speak English so evening entertainment such as kids disco, magician, silent disco etc are all done in Spanish (I think). There were plenty of sun beds which you cannot access before 9am and they were strict on people reserving beds with towels, placing notes on them that if you haven’t occupied the bed after 15 minutes your towels will be removed. The outdoor area is quite compact but big enough to enjoy. They have a rule of two drinks per person on the all inclusive which seemed a little strange when the tables and chairs are so close to the bar and it is obvious sometimes that you are getting drinks for yourself and your partner and maybe your wanted one other for someone else in your party but they still insist you only get two. This rule seemed to be enforced by some staff but not by others. The all inclusive deal ends at 11:00 pm and then after that you have to pay. The cocktails choice is quite small and didn’t really taste alcoholic at all. They have San Miguel beer on draught in the all inclusive so that was good. The restaurant is huge with plenty of seating and the food selection was better than I have had at many other self service buffet style restaurants with something to suit all tastes. My only complain is that unlike most other all inclusive hotels I have stayed at there were no staff clearing the tables as you go so there are lots of tables with dirty plates and cutlery all over the restaurant until after the sitting. The snack bar was very well stocked each day with pizza, hot dogs, burgers, spaghetti, crisps, rolls, pancakes, ice cream and more so there is something to eat throughout the day if you want it. The beach is a sharp shingle beach so bring beach shoes if you have sensitive feet and be warned the slope from the water’s edge is steep and the sea gets deep very quickly. We had quite a lot of jellyfish on our week and not knowing if they stung we cleared out of the water although the local Spanish people seemed happy to swim amongst them. Overall I have no real complaints, the kids loved it but I wouldn’t want to come back as just an adult couple as this hotel is definitely geared for families with children.

"Great for families"

10.0

This is a great hotel for families, all the staff are really friendly and helpful. The hotel is kept really clean and is fairly modern. The all inclusive food was fresh every meal, however was lacking in variety day to day, would not let it put you off as what is there is good. Rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels etc. Can't really fault our experience with a 13 year old.
