Beautiful grounds and exterior of the property, but the interior was very tired, service was definitely lacking relative to the other hotels we stayed in Tuscany and there was almost a “stale” vibe there (i.e. it was weirdly quiet and dimly lite). We booked the nice room with the jacuzzi at the top but we couldn’t get in the jacuzzi as i) first you had to request them to fill the tub 1 hour prior (you’d think they’d fill it automatically when you get in) and ii) once it was filled, we tried to get in but the temperature was so hot you could almost boil a lobster... we waited for 2 hours to see if it cooled down but to no avail. As this was one of the most expensive places we stayed in Tuscany, while it does have remedying qualities, it was honestly a let down relative to the other hotels (particularly considering this was the most expensive).

Location ++. We have seen some negative reviews about this place but our experience was superb with a very helpful team onsite. The view from the grounds is fantastic and chilling by the pool on a hot Tuscan day was wonderful. This is a converted monetary so people expecting a modern plush room should consider something else - but you will be missing out on something truly beautiful. The service was excellent.

Wonderful stay with most friendly staff, relaxed and almost familiar atmosphere, perfect to head out exploring Tuscany bur coming home to what felt like a little hidden treasure. Fun fact: talked to some local restaurant owners in San Gimignano and they also said that La Collegiata is the best place to stay

L’hôtel est très très joli. Une très belle piscine, un cadre magnifique En revanche, le personnel est absolument CATASTROPHIQUE....on nous a refusé de rester une heure de plus après le check ou près de la piscine (JAMAIS vu). La jeune femme a l’accueil a été limite agressive et pas souriante. Je conseille aux propriétaires de faire plus attention quant au choix du personnel surtout quand vous vous positionnez comme “hôtel haut de gamme”

Es ist ein sehr schönes altes Hotel. Die Infrastruktur ist jedoch auch schon etwas ins Alter gekommen. Die Rezeption ist etwas einfach besetzt.

An amazing property in a handy location if you have a car. Just a short 5 minute drive in to the n town. The pool was a bonus in the heat. The only negative was a preset air conditioner in the room which was set too high. We sweltered when in the room and despite asking for it to be adjusted a number of times nothing was done

The property is perfect with an amazing view, the food outstanding and the people very professional and nice. We will come back
