Die Lage mit Blick auf San Gimignano ist absolut traumhaft, alles hat gepasst.

The location offers a nice view on San Gimignano. We could leave our bikes in a locked place, that was nice. We had one of the rooms upstairs which has a large common kitchen/sitting room equipped with a watercooker, coffee machine and fridge. Breakfast was good selection with fresh coffee.

Because the hotel is located far from the hustle and bustle, visitors will especially appreciate the solitude and peace. Here it is not about luxury but about contact with nature, history and how people can be kind to people. Thank you, thank you very much, we enjoyed 6 nights in here :)

This place was absolutely charming and a dream, and exceeded every expectation for an incredible Tuscan vacation. This was far and away the best place we stayed in Italy, and not just because of the beautiful location. The hosts, the facilities, and the whole process was just far above anything else we experienced. If I could give it 20 stars I would. Poggiacolle is a rustic Tuscan vineyard and olive orchard just outside of San Gimignano. The original buildings have been tastefully updated with modern comforts while retaining the antique roots. There are two buildings with several rooms each, and a separate building converted for dining and events. But it always felt quiet, peaceful and private. This particular booking had a well equipped kitchen and roomy living area with 2 separate bedrooms/bathrooms on the first floor with a direct view of the medieval town. It was so incredible to wake up every morning and enjoy the views just outside our door. The location was very convenient, just an hour outside Florence and a 5 minute drive into San Gimignano, which is a quaint and well preserved medieval hilltop town which is quickly becoming a popular tourist destination. But there is plenty of parking just outside the walls making it easy to walk in. We also toured Volterra, Lucca, and Montepulciano. Just note that this is in the country, so you can expect some gravel roads, steep and windy hills and narrow roads depending on where you are headed. Stefano was so incredibly friendly and helpful, who clearly takes a lot of pride in his family's multi-generational vineyard. We were greeted with bottles of wine and olive oil to taste and more was available for purchase. The white Vernaccia DOCG was our favorite of the whole trip. A delicious breakfast and laundry facilities are available for a extra fee. This is a family farm, not a corporate managed inn and it shows. This is truly the Tuscan vacation you are looking for.

Location is amazing: beautiful hills, full of olive trees and vineyards, with a magnificent view of medieval San Gimignano just few kilometers away. The farmhouse is spacious, cozy, tastefully decorated, equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Our host, Stefano, was so helpful, friendly, and welcoming! He did everything possible to make us feel at home. And he greeted us with a bottle of wine from his winery and a bottle of delicious olive oil from his garden. We were happy to stay there and did not want to leave.

Zlepšit snídaně. Lepší nabídka , čerstvá vejce podle přání hostů. Nic složitého, ale posunulo by to ubytování o další krůček k dokonalosti.

Per essere in bassa stagione prezzo troppo alto per il “monolocale vista piscina” che ho trovato davvero piccolissimo, buio e con un bagno minuscolo. Considerato anche che in questo periodo non ci sono servizi (no colazione, no piscina, no ristorante) mi sarei aspettata un alloggio migliore per il prezzo pagato.

We loved everything about this property, from the extremely warm welcome Stefano gave as we drove up, to the excellent helpfulness of Daniela in the reception, to the friendliness of the wonderful young lady who graciously served us a delicious breakfast every morning, to the kind and efficient lady who cleaned our apartment every day. Two couples traveling together, we were put up in the NEW farmhouse (only 300 years old) with two bedrooms, both with ensuite bathrooms, and a kitchen/living room area that was well stocked with all necessary equipment. It was remodeled enough to accommodate modern efficiency, but left enough of the old farmhouse to be cozy, homey and utterly charming. The property is within a 5 minute drive of San Gimignano. It is only a 15 minute drive to the train station in Poggibonzi where you have easy access to Siena, Florence, and surrounding areas. It is close to many really good restaurants both in San Gimignano and in the surrounding area. Agriturismo Poggiacolle will be our headquarters in Tuscany from now on!
