Hotel Elena

Very friendly welcome, situated right in the heart of Stresa, helpful friendly staff, very clean, our room a bit dated but served it purpose. Quiet at night despite overlooking the main square. Good basic breakfast, juice,rolls,cheese & meat,fruit, yogurt etc. Would I return? Love too!!!!

This small hotel is in a great location in the centre of Stresa. On arrival the staff were friendly and helpful and were lovely throughout my stay. The hotel is simple and basic but has everything you need for a short stay at a good price. The room was cleaned daily and whilst small was very comfortable. It had a small balcony with a view of the hills and was quiet. The bathroom was clean and modern and had a good powerful shower. The room had a safe, fridge and ceiling fan. TV was only Italian channels. The bed was comfortable and I slept very well. Breakfast was simple but adequate with good coffee. The hotel also has a public bar. There were no mosquitoes!

I've stayed there for 4 nights. very good location, at a piazza but relatively quiet, and close to the lake. Good breakfast. Comfortable bed.

The place is located at the center of Stresa. 3 min walk to bus station, 15 min walk to train station, 5 minutes from the lake and the boats. It is surrounded by restaurants and night life. it's also very reasonably priced. The problem is there is no AC !!! So when it's 35C outside its very hot in the room. The other problem is the noise. To keep room cooler you have to keep windows and balcony door open at all times. The outside notice subside 1-2am and AM noise starts at 7 am. If you go to bed late you can't sleep in the morning and if you go bed 11-12 and can't sleep until 1-2am. Hotel breakfast is not bad.

This hotel is in the perfect position right in the centre of town on a lovely square. The decor is fairly old however everything was clean and working. Our room was on the top floor with balcony overlooking the square. Only issue was the heat with no air con at night! Other than that perfect

The manager was great - efficient, helpful, knew what guests needed,let me have breakfast on my balcony Room was clean and had everything and a great sunny balcony with good views of the mountains and rooftops. Great central location. One suggestion: tea & coffeemaking facilities in the room? Enjoyed my stay.

We stayed only one night, but look forward to returning when we can spend more time! The Elena hotel is on a charming square, only a block from the waterfront. Our balcony overlooked the square, and our triple room was quite adequate. It's simple and older, but very clean and comfortable. And the lady at the front desk if wonderful. Very patient and considerate, helpful and pleasant. We had to leave very early in the morning, and she helped us settle our bill the night before and met us at the front door at 5:45 a.m. to help us get out and to our car, smiling despite the unreasonable hour! There a nice little bar and tea room on the ground floor, in addition to the check-in.

We were made really welcome, and all the staff were unfailingly pleasant and cheerful. The location was ideal, being very central - rooms at the back of the hotel had a lovely view and were very quiet. Highly recommended!

Nice small hotel on main square with lots of restaurants. Nice balcony small room small modern bathroom . Very helpful owner good breakfast. Bit noisy at night but its a happy noise of people enjoying dinner. Quiet after 12

A lovely small hotel in a lively square in Stresa, close to all amenities. A little gem.
