Soana City Rooms

Easy location from the train station & right in the CBD. We were only on a quick overnight stop over so it was convenient. Beds were hard, although not phased by this it may not interest some people. Staff were very friendly & it was quiet. Although in the morning about 8 there was a fair bit of thoroughfare noise as we were close to reception & they serve breakfast around 7-830. Most restaurants are a little walk away as this hotel is in the business area however the price of the hotel was great & it served its purpose.

The room was really nice and large and had everything I needed. It was a great location to the train station and also a short walk to to City Centre, and then a longer walk to the old city and some amazing palaces.

Comfortable room, very friendly staff, central location-all for a good price. We would stay again.

IMO this 4th storey hotel is just in the wrong place for being able to get a nights sleep, (even with ear plugs) as it's adjacent to both a main throughfare's set of traffic lights and an elevated highway, so the trafic noise is intrusive and continuous. Room 15 is a definite no no, as it on the corner of the hotel with a set of french windows on each elevation. The management are aware of the problem but offer no reduction, but do provide a generous continental breakfast for 3 euros, which includes a large pot of well needed morning coffee.

Pleasant stay, no pretentions, nothing fancy but adequate accommodation in a good location in the centre of genoa. Various members of staff were friendly and helpful. Only annoying thing for us was the wifi didn't work in our room.

Great place to stay, very clean rooms, friendly staff. Room had great view along Via Settembre (sp) and high cielings with frescoes on them. Good location halfway between Brignole station to the east and old town to the west. Also very near the excellent Mercato Orientale and lots of good food shops / bakeries / cafes around Via Galata / Colombo

staff was very friendly - being that our train was delayed and we didnt get there til after 11pm at night. We left by 9 the next morning, so very brief stay. Room was clean, everything worked. Location was handy to Genova Brignole Station - the link to Cinque Terre

A good budget option for travelers. Walking distance from the train station. It's on a main shopping road which is ok during the day but it essentially shuts down at 8.30pm and i didn't feel safe walking around by myself after that. There was also a lack of restaurants open for dinner close by. Very clean and tidy and lovely staff though!

Very nice and friendly staff . Excellent location, walking distance from the railway station and walking distance to main city attractions downtown. Excellent windows, capable of minimizing the street noise. I spent a very quiet and relaxing night. Wi-fi available.Large sunny clean room. The price was good. I'll choose it again.
