Relais La Corte dei Papi

This is the best hotel we ever stayed in Italy. The host David and his team are all friendly and professional in a way that they care about every detail of your stay. You can feel their passion in making your stay a delightful and memorable one. We stayed in the Relais for 2 nights in the deluxe cottage which is very quiet and nicely decorated with traditional Tuscan style. There is also a Jacuzzi in the room which was great as well. The room is perfectly clean, tidy and cozy to stay. We stayed in the hotel's restaurant for dinner for both nights and the food are amazing. I proposed to my fiancé at the restaurant of the hotel on the first night and David and his team have been truly helpful and professional to make it a special night for me and my fiancé. We are truly thankful for the special arrangement by David and his team to make it happen. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone who are travelling to Cortona.

Relais La Corte dei Papi is an exceptional property minutes from Cortona. I have nothing but superlatives to describe the beautifully decorated rooms, the grounds, the restaurant, the surrounding countryside and, above all, Davide, La Corte dei Papi's most gracious host. He could not have been more kind, or made us feel more welcome. Highly recommended!

We found the Le Corte dei Papi resort to be an amazing experience. The owner, David Papi was involved in every aspect of the property with the ultimate goal of maximum guest satisfaction. The restaurant is fantastic with a incredible chef and extraordinary waiters and service. The landscaped grounds and the beautiful pool area make the resort very relaxing and special. The Papi have owned the property for over 200 years and their pride show in every aspect of the resort. The resort is located just below the walled hilltop town of Cortona. Cortona is a fun historic Tuscan village with a fascinating history and very good restaurants and parks. We can not recommend La Corte dei Papi any higher. It is awesome!

We were greeted in the parking lot by David Papi, owner/operator. The level of excellent service didn't stop there. The breakfast buffet is an impressive spread. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner in the restaurant as well. One morning we caught an early train to Florence and David made sure we had coffee and a bite to eat before leaving. The staff was always available. We really enjoyed staying at a boutique country style hotel that felt more like a home!

Rooms are gorgeous. Restaurant is world-class. David is extraordinary. Well worth the trip to experience this gem near Cortona. We loved our stay here and David exemplifies excellent service. Can't say enough wonderful things about our beautiful and peaceful visit with truly one of the best meals of my life at Relais La Corte dei Papi. A MUST dinner for anyone visiting Cortona or Tuscany. He was the most gracious and helpful host we had and saved us when we had a flat tire upon checking out - he took care of calls and set up service for us. Grazie Mille! David.

Nossa estadia foi muito boa, o hotel é um prédio antigo, mas muito bem cuidado. O café da manhã foi excelente, na área externa, junto da piscina. O proprietário era muito atencioso.

The hotel is a beautifully renovated old farmhouse operated by a friendly and welcoming host whose family has owned the property for 300 years. They have done a wonderful job renovating the buildings and creating a beautiful, very new, and comfortable hotel. The breakfast is delicious as is dinner outside by the pool. Highly recommend this hotel.

Loved it. David and all the staff were fantastic, could not do enough to ensure to our comfort, made the whole experience so much more pleasing. If you are travelling with children maybe not the place to stay, but for romatic get aways, honeymoon or even for adults looking for peace & quiet then this is the place for you. You will need a car for sight seeing.
