Great stay

Lifts not great but being on the 5th floor not a problem.

Fue una experiencia muy buena, que pudo ser estupenda pero tiene aspectos a mejorar. La ubicación Excelente, el personal y el bufet de 10, tiene animaciones por día, la piscina de buen tamaño y un food truck que tiene lo necesario, aparte de un local para snacks

La habitación tiene camas que pueden mejorar, no eran del todo cómodas, el horario de la piscina es corto, seguro sería por ser esta fecha, los ascensores al ser una torre de 12 pisos y muchas habitaciones costaba mucho poderlo coger y alguna vez tuvimos que bajar o subir por escaleras estando en un piso 9, indica la página que puedes tomar pensión completa y solo existe la media pensión, y solicité una habitación de dos camas dobles y al llegar solo era una cama doble con un sofá cama

I appreciate breakdowns do happen, but there is constantly something not working here. 10 days and I can count on probably 2 fingers the amount of days all lifts where working, when there are all working you might as well leave an hour before you’re due to get anywhere. The game room one of the main entrance ways is blocked off with unsightly barrier tape and hanging cabling, one of the ground floor toilets in the gents is hanging out of the floor, the hand dryer in the restaurant gents doesn’t work. The showers in the rooms I’ve read people complain about pressure, no issue with this but they change between freezing and boiling at the drop of a hat, you’re going to hurt someone!! Nail sticking out of the floor in my room right by the shower, sun loungers are plentiful but don’t adjust… but what I will say is the food is good, entertainment is fine, drinks reasonable however the happy hour rules seem to be made up as they go, but not an issue, staff I couldn’t fault and the rooms always kept to a clean standard. This was my first time here and it pains me to give 3* due to poor maintenance as the actual experience is fantastic, lll be watching with a close eye for future investment before returning as this is a little gem if maintained…

Well what can I say. Wow wow wow absolutely loved the stay here. Was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Room was lovely and clean the little mini fridge was an added bonus. Staff were friendly polite and courteous and went out of their way to make you feel welcome. The Entertainment staff deserve so much credit for what they do. Food was brilliant lots to choose from and attention to detail was outstanding. I've stayed here 3 times and have had the best of experiences each time. The only issue some might find are the lifts you can wait a while at peak periods, no problem for me as I used the stairs but if you have mobility issues request a low floor.

Let me start by saying we are a couple on the verge of retirement and have stated in many 4* hotels in Benidorm. I would not classify this hotel as 4* and at best a 2*. We have stayed in many 4* hotels in the resort and some 2* apartments that were more superior to Rio Park. First impressions on arrival, is that it looks good. Check in was smooth. The lifts were an experience that I do not want a repeat of. During our stay 2 of the 5 lifts were out of order, so there was plenty of queuing and they are painfully slow as they seem to stop at every floor going in either direction. It appeared as the elderly and disabled were placed on the highest floors so walking up and down the stairs was just not practical. The room was at first glance satisfactory. Shame you are charged for the tea and coffee in the room at 3.5 euros for more tea, coffee and milk. The hot water system is a compete nightmare as its either cold or scolding with it impossible to get a good balance so beware if you have kids! You are also charged if you require the towels to be changed. The balcony door required super human strength to open and close. The fridge is not a fridge but a bottle cooler... At first this did not seem a problem until you realise that when your room card is removed from the room all electricity in the room is cut including the bottle cooler (these require permanent power to get cold and retain the cool temperature) so anything in it spoils quickly. The bathroom had black mold along it's edges, especially in the shower. The pool area is quite small for the size of the hotel and has plenty of sunbeds but only a few fixed umbrellas, which is problem with temperatures in the late 20s. The bar and snacks seemed expensive compared to other places nearby. I cannot comment on the food as we stayed bed and breakfast but always ate out as we have our preferred places to eat around Benidorm. We throughly enjoyed our stay in the resort but will not recommend this hotel.

Unfortunately, I did not enjoy my stay at this hotel. The property feels very old and dated, with worn furniture and outdated televisions that could benefit from refurbishment. The lifts were unreliable and frequently not working properly, which was particularly frustrating during the stay and the staff couldn’t be bothered about this situation .The lift’s frequent faults left me feeling anxious whenever I needed to use them, and I was constantly worried about becoming trapped or experiencing a breakdown while inside. The food was another disappointment, as it was very bland and lacked flavour every day. Noisy guests, poor soundproofing, and slow-running cold water added to an already disappointing stay, making it difficult to relax and feel comfortable. Overall, the hotel did not meet my expectations, and I feel significant improvements are needed urgently on all levels. Based on my experience, I would not choose to stay here again.
