Hotel Tobazo

Qué maravilla de personal! Tan agradables que se hace corto el viaje. La habitación, las opciones de bar y restaurante, el salón de estar, todo más que genial! Sin duda volveremos.

I stayed in this hotel for the second time and it was great and I have to say hotel improved since last time in terms of food. Breakfast this time was really good, not super huge selection, but everything was really good. Certainly more on level of 4 star hotel than 3 star hotel. Same goes for rooms, they were nice, newly renovated and spacious. Its definitely a very good hotel for this price and not to mention location which is only 30m from a ski lift. I will choose this hotel again when I will come back to Candanchu.

Arrived just ahead of some dreadful weather in early September. The position is excellent with great views. Walls are a bit thin but not many others staying when we were so not a problem. Staff were delightful, especially the man on reception. Food reasonably priced and well presented. The road up to the hotel and then down into France the next day was spectacular driving

Very good breakfast. Dinner was good as well. We loved the Russian Cake! Super friendly staff, especially at the reception! Good music in the bar. Chilled ambience. The rooms are simple, but stylish and clean. Good shower! Nice few on the mountains.

The balcony was a bit small and there were no chairs to sit outside. A bit more fruits and salads for dinner would have been nice. No french or international channels on TV.

Très bien accueillis par un personnel très sympathique et extrêmement serviable et arrangeant. Restaurant très bien aussi. Chambre confortable avec bonne literie, très bon petit déjeuner. Un bon rapport qualité prix, je recommande.

Great location, easy parking and check-in was efficient. As a hotel in a ski resort, we did not expect air conditioning - hot weather meant that the room was hot but fans were not provided. Restaurant staff worked diligently to deal with large numbers of guests. A refurbished property in a snow resort, it has been worked hard in past seasons and is a little tired. Nonetheless, good value overall.

With stifling heat inside because of hot weather, it was a puzzle why the outside terrace adjacent to the bar/ restaurant was closed - because windows in the bar/ restaurant do not open to allow fresh air.

The evening we arrived, there were flies in the room and flying ants were crawling all over the bed. It was horrid. We should have asked to change rooms. The following morning we bought some insect spray. Unfortunately our stay coincided with really hot weather. It was well over 30º, at times 37º and there was no aircon. We were told to keep the window shut because of the flies, but the heat was intolerable. It was impossible to get much sleep. When we asked at reception if they had a fan, we were told no, that it wasn’t usually this hot. But that didn’t help us. We spent a very uncomfortable 5 nights. We are not, obviously, blaming the hotel for the heat, but they should make provision for the comfort of their guests. The bathroom was quite small and there was an unpleasant smell at times. The floorboards in the room creaked badly, making a terrible noise, as did the ones in the adjoining room. The breakfast buffet, whilst having a good selection, was open to the flies. Nothing was covered, apart from the hot options.
