Hotel Bon Sol Resort & Spa

Had an excellent short break at The BonSol. Fantastic facilities, plenty of courteous staff, good food and a great location. Can't ask for much more

We stayed for just 2 nights at Hotel Bon Sol at the end of a two week villa holiday. This was our first visit, and I feel sure that it will not be our last. The owners are always around, and you get the true feel that the creation of this oasis of calm and sophistication has been, and continues to be, a true labour of love.

The ocean view from our balcony was absolutely stunning! The hotel itself had very good amenities and a delicious and HUGE breakfast buffet. The staff was generally very helpful. They even gave us a new room on our last day there since they couldn't accommodate a late check out for our particular room...that gave us the ability to enjoy a few extra hours before flying out. The only negative issue we had was the air conditioning was not working for almost a whole day, but they were finally able to resolve the problem (after several attempts). The rooms were not particularly luxurious, but adequate...I would say that in general, the hotel rooms could use some updating/upkeep. The beach area was small, but beautiful. Definitely get a float and/or snorkels from a local store to fully enjoy the water! The surrounding area wasn't that great, although there were some shops within walking distance. Bus and taxi stop were close by, so it was easy to get to the city. We had to take a taxi to go to restaurants, I did not see much within walking distance other than hotel restaurants. I would definitely come back to this hotel again!

This is possibly one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. Family run and with a real sense of caring about the guests. Not surprised that so many people I talked to had been going there for years. And as a single person I never felt out of place. It was so friendly. And while busy, because it was built around the garden and trees, it never feels crowded. In many ways feels more five star than four star. Loved it.
