The Palms Hotel

Lovely place to stay. Family run hotel, staff very attentive and friendly. Clean and comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Would recommend. Reasonable cost for two nights. Great location.

The service provided and the friendliness of the host was first class. We booked a small double which had everything in it including a fridge. The hotel is located on the main road approx 200/300 yards from the harbour/marina and close to all amenities. The breakfast was excellent with great choice could not be faulted in fact i haven't had better. Yes the hotel could do with a little tweaks here and there as is a little tired but presents very well. Good value for money and would return.

Could not fault our stay here, lovely hosts, great food and central to town, very welcoming and would definitely stay here again, room was quite small but we knew that when we booked and was fine for us.

The hotel has a great location, around 5 min walk down to the harbour. The host, Lenna is exceptionally friendly and helpful and kind - nothing was too much trouble and she clearly takes pride in looking after her guests. The breakfast included were freshly made and very tasty. The room was a little tired and could do with a lick of paint and some furniture upgrade however it was adequate for our stay. The two allocated parking bays are more suitable for small cars or bikes. However the hotel does provide parking voucher for a large public car park which is at a rear street (uphill walk for those with disabilities or little kids) - pay £10 deposit to the hotel which they will refund on the check out. We would stay again and would recommend to our friends and family. Thank you for your hospitality Lenna!

I booked a twin for my self an my mum for 1 night and I phoned up before booking to confirm that they have parking to which they said they have a private carpark at the back of the hotel for guest use only. so we made the booking an turned up. We went to park an there were only 2 allocated parking spaces which were full! So we phoned reception only to be told that they don't take "bikers or motorbikes" an then they slammed the phoned down after being rude to us! We phoned again an asked to speak to the manager to explain our situation when they put the phone down again after taking our money from us anyway so we were left 100 miles from home with no where to stay late at night.

Back at this great B & B again for a long holiday weekend. Leena and her team gave us a great welcome as always with nothing too much trouble. In addition it's close to all amenities in Torquay with great restaurants and bars all within walking distance and a bus stop within a couple of hundred yards. Who could want more??

We stayed on a quiet weekend and we were instantly upgraded. Car park close by. A few hundred yards from the town centre. Good full breakfast. Rooms have everything you need. Room was very clean. Steps at the front could be awkward if you are elderly or have a disability.

The Palms is excellent, We had an enjoyable time. The breakfast was perfect the room was just what we wanted and the proprietors Graham and Judith are lovely people they made us feel very welcome.The shops and the Harbour are only a couple minutes away. We will definitely be booking again.

Great hotel with great staff who would do anything to help and are very welcoming. The hotel is close to the town centre and other facilities and when we are back in the area we will be staying there again. It was a bit of a shame the bar was shut in the hotel due to guests not using it. I normally find that a hotel bar is a good place to find out about the local area and the best places to visit as people tend to relax and open up a bit. I recommend anybody to go here. You won't be disappointed.
