Waters Edge Hotel

lovely getaway , shame staff aren't very friendly or forthcoming , but we enjoyed our stay great location , should offer breakfast at check in . Rooms need a bit of tlc.

Was hoping that it would have been a little cleaner but overall a nice friendly hotel

There was no wifi in the room, couldn't even pick up a signal. There was no hot water in my room so I couldn't have a shower at all.

Had a superb view overlooking the bay and the town. The room was small, really small. When i bent down in the shower room to wash I had to keep the door open as not was so narrow. Overtime someone else closed a door mine rattled (I plugged it). The noise emanating from the room upstairs was horrendous until well after 2am. The second morning I paraded for breakfast at 0755. No sign of life whatever. At 0820 I had to leave to meet a coach. The following day was much the same. It was not until 0820 that I asked the only member of staff if breakfast was on the cards. He looked at me aghast and said "YES" but it isn't a cooked one. This I already knew and he eventually produced a jug of orange and three slices of bread. Talk about Fawlty Towers. This was its understudy.

Very dated hotel room, that said everything worked. Last night of my stay the room next to and opposite was occupied but a large group of late teens that felt the need to keep everyone awake. Duty managers attitude was that it was a Friday and everyone should expect them to be loud. At 4am after an hours shouting, banging and swearing I left the hotel and continued my rest in the motorway services seating area.

For us, it was perfect as an out of town, quiet & simple getaway, and we got it for an amazing price- could not have asked for more for that price! the garden overlooks the sea- we had a beer out there & it totally made our stay. The room was small but clean & comfortable, and the shower was great. It is a bit far from town, but if you dont mind a taxi, or want an out of town hotel (with lots of free parking) its perfect. The only downside was that we didnt have wifi, but I'm not sure if this was advertised.

I had a very pleasant stay. It was a mini one night holiday just to get away and relax. I came home happy.

A very impersonal hotel, saw one member of staff on check in, and put keys in a box on check out. Room not cleaned while we were there. A reasonable size room, but no where comfortable to sit, two dinning room chairs. Went out for all meals.

This is a good hotel for the price , it is in a good. Area. Right near sea front
