Waters Edge Hotel

hotel was rubbish

Hotel looked lovely from outside set in a good position with lovely views. Inside it lacked warmth and decor was poor. Room was clean and comfortable but rest of hotel needed some attention. Breakfast was poor only offering cereal tea or coffee and one piece of toast.

More like a hostel, dirty, noisey, cold, awful bathroom, bugs

The hotel looks fine outwardly and is by the seafront. However, inside it was somewhat rundown and dilapidated. Our room smelled of damp and the decoration looked tired. There was no shampoo or conditioner provided which should be a minimal expectation for a supposedly three star hotel. Checkout consisted of dropping keys in a box. It did at least have free parking. This is at best two star accommodation so would recommend going for the grand hotel nearby instead as this really isn't good value for money and you will be disappointed. Nice hotel I was on night shift and there was a lot of building work getting done didn’t know about this when I booked that’s life

Found the hotel to be inexpensive and a short walk to the town centre. The room was clean and tidy and the water pressure in the shower was strong and invigorating. The bed was comfortable and should I need to stay overnight in Torquay I will be checking this hotel first.

Not very welcoming, had to ring doorbell to gain entry, rooms were freezing, no heating on, only got portable heaters after getting manager out of bed to ask for them, no one about for check out just left keys in mail type box. Not a pleasant experience at all

Value for money, lovely view. What more do I need to say?
