Comfortable bed clean and tidy room We didn’t eat at the hotel so can’t comment on the food

We did not eat at The Grant Arms, but the hotel was very nice and the rooms were very good. The bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in - best nights sleep in years! Very clean too! When we arrived they seemed to have a shortage of staff on duty, but most hotels have a struggle with finding staff so I would not put this as a mark against the hotel as the accommodation was very good.

Die Zimmer sind gross; etwas "Vintage" ausgestattet aber tadellos sauber. Bequeme Betten, funktionierende Steckdosen. Es gibt ein tolles Frühstücksbuffet (auch mit glutenfreiem Brot), das Personal ist sehr freundlich.

in den Zimmern 113 und 114, die wir hatten, hört man den Lärm der Absauganlage der Küche auch bei geschlossenem Fenster derart, dass an Schlaf nicht mehr zu denken ist. Die anlaufende Turbine hat uns an einem Sonntag um 05:40 geweckt, und danach konnten wir nicht wieder schlafen.

The room was large, bed comfortable and the room and bathroom were clean

Very old fashioned large hotel, more suited to coach loads of bird-watchers than individuals looking for a cosy Scottish experience. Like something out of the 1960/70’s. Breakfast wasn’t included which made it poor value for money. If you want more than just a clean and comfortable bed the night, then search elsewhere. However, staff were helpful and pleasant. We didn’t eat there as dining room again, very ‘old hat’.

The choice/quality of wine in the bar is dreadful such that I went elsewhere in the evenings

Breakfast was excellent. Good quality food and very well presented. Zoey the young lady attending to us was fantastic. Very friendly, informative and helpful. She is a very good ambassador to your hotel. All the other staff were excellent. A beautiful and well maintained hotel. Very impressed.
