"A chateau paddling below the surface but just about keeping a brave face."

Big grounds and old style house. Relaxed atmosphere. Good restaurant. Easy 20 minute walk into Bayeux.

Don't park your car under the trees. Noisy and ineffective air-conditioning units in stairwell and aircon in room non-existent. .

"Beautiful chateaux but needs some TLC"

A beautiful chateaux and gardens.

Shower leaked from upstairs shower room into the bedroom. Not a fresh leak as the wall paper was already wet and damaged from previous leaks. The sealant around the shower tray had a gap causing the ingress. Reported it but not fixed during our 2 day stay requiring us to use a waste paper basket position in the bedroom to catch the leak. The gardens are very nice. Tennis court and pond both nice. Each of the duplexes in the coaching house annex had a front and back door. The back door giving access to a terrace with table and chairs for each apartment. Spoilt by being full of weeds.

"Charming quiet place w excellent dining, great getaway."

Very quiet, charming old house. Excellent 3 course evening meal. Room had almost every convenience. Bed was super comfortable. Shower was strong. Good breakfast selection.

No AC, and it happened that we stayed during a heat wave. But they did have a large fan, that helped. Bath/shower drained very slowly.

"Romantic"

I fell in love with our duplex, exceptional work done with the design and curation. The property itself of exceptional and we couldn’t get enough of all the beauty surrounding us. The staff was very friendly and we had an overall pleasant stay.

The waterbody can use some cleaning

It is so peaceful and charming and a wonderful slice of chateau life in the Bayeux countryside. There are some particularly wonderful features like the pond, the gardens, the coziness of the rooms and the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

Even though it should be considered a “value” accommodation, it would have been nice if they had proper air conditioning since we arrived during a heat wave.
