Hotel de l'Europe

Clean hotel close to ferry terminal. Large rooms with tea making facilities. But only 2 teabags in a room for four. Breakfast disappointing.

The hotel was in a convenient location and has a nice view of the sea. The room was decent and clean but the lack of air conditioning and the thin lace curtains made it less comfortable than it should have been. Both nights we stayed were very warm and the cigarette smoke from a guest in a nearby room really bothered us as it wafted into our window. Also, because the area adjacent to the beach is a busy parking lot with people enjoying summer weather until very late at night, the noise and bright lights coming in the room could not be blocked out. The addition of heavy curtains and air conditioning would be a big plus. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was generally clean and comfortable. The only other thing is that the toilet is in its own little room, apart from the sink and shower, which is not that convenient and breaks up the space in the room in a weird way.

Everyone at the hotel was very nice anything we asked they tried to help any way they could

main aim was to watch arrival of the Figaro.... night and early morning staff . gave excellent service. great situation with good views from our room

Staff were very helpful, spoke English. Room was big, very clean. The view was perfect to watch the sunset over the ocean.

Great hotel. The one problem was with the parking. I came by car and the attendant kept me waiting for a good 30 minutes. I finally just parked at a public location and paid 18 euros/day vs. the 30 euros the hotel wanted to charge.

Spacious rooms; helpful & friendly staff; good breakfast room; nice view of the channel and the entrance to the harbour.

The pluses: The hotel is clean The beds are comfy Flat screen tv The minuses: no bar as advertised no drinks to purchase, no mini bar, no vending machines, not even bottled water to buy. Advertised free parking is on the street, if you're lucky bath towels are tiny, ideal for a 5 year old cheap shampoo and soap toilet paper dispenser, one sheet at a time windows wont stay open
