After a six-hour drive from Toulouse, we were genuinely looking forward to spending two nights at this hotel. On arrival, first impressions were promising—the property is undeniably attractive, and check-in was pleasant enough. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives largely ended. We were disappointed to discover that the pool was closed until later in April—something not mentioned on Expedia—despite the glorious sunny weather during and prior to our stay. The room itself was spacious and quiet, which suited me travelling with both a child and a dog, but comfort alone couldn’t make up for the shortcomings elsewhere. One of the main reasons for the low rating is the shocking condition of the tennis court. It is poorly maintained and, more worryingly, unsafe. The surrounding mesh fencing is loose, with sharp, rusted edges exposed. My five-year-old son ran after a ball and ended up with cuts on his legs from these hazards. When I reported this to reception and asked for basic first aid, the response was dismissive and indifferent—even when we showed photos. This level of disregard for guest safety is unacceptable. If facilities are provided, they should be properly maintained and safe, especially for families. Dinner that evening only added to our frustration. While sitting outside was pleasant, the atmosphere was undermined by visible building works on the bar terrace nearby. Service was disorganised—I had to reorder drinks several times, only to be told items were unavailable. My child’s meal was incorrect despite a very limited children’s menu. My “pulled pork” burger (as seen in photo) was particularly disappointing: instead of what was advertised, it was a single fatty piece of pork placed in a bun. When I raised this, the waiter attempted to argue the point rather than resolve the issue, which only worsened the experience. I sent the dish away. We chose not to have breakfast the following day, especially given the high price. Over the remainder of our stay, nothing improved—the tennis court remained in the same unsafe condition, so we limited our use of the hotel to simply somewhere to sleep. Upon checking out we were offered a child wash kit as an apology for the tennis court. A very unsuitable & too late of an apology in my world! Overall, this is a hotel that prioritises appearance over substance. For the price, the lack of basic maintenance, poor service, and disregard for guest safety make it far from worth it. It has significant improvements to make before it can be considered a true destination. Also, where are the dog poo bins!? Couldn’t find any anywhere and when paying 25 euro a night dog charge, I expect suitable facilities other than a bowl. I will however give the bar man a special thank you, he did go out of his way to give the little one sweeties which was a kind gesture.
