The Chateau is stunning, like a Disney castle. This was a fourth visit and we were engaged here last year so it's a place we will, I am sure, return to each year. In October the woodland at the start of the drive is carpeted in white and pale pink cyclamen, which appears like snow. Such a magical first impression. This year we stayed in the small chalet opposite the chateau. There are only two rooms in the chalet and it was perfectly quiet and comfortable. However, having stayed in the main chateau previously in the Charm room, we will ensure we stay there again rather than the chalet - this is just our preference. Each time we have stayed, during autumn and summer, we have almost felt as though we are the only guests staying. We have been able to enjoy drinks and nibbles on the terrace taking in the picturesque views and the sounds of nature. The swimming pool is heated and the lovely young lady from reception came to open it for us and take back the cover, so we enjoyed a quiet afternoon in the pool just the two of us. We did suggest on our first visit (when we had a meal in the restaurant) that the terrace would benefit from a barbecue and bar facility, rather than having to go and find staff to order a drink, and only having the choice of al la carte dinner in the evening. So we were happy to see this had been added, albeit temporarily, though the barman said they are building a more permanent bar outside which will be great, especially for events. The breakfast has always been wonderful, though perhaps not so plentiful this time. That said, there is a good selection to choose from and you can fill up for the day. The staff are always welcoming and friendly and if you are looking for a romantic place to stay, this is it.

During breakfast the chateau would greatly benefit from one or two more coffee machines, as there is either a queue or it runs out and then the staff have to serve guests with hot drinks individually. Much better if there are sufficient machines available to accommodate all guests.

Les poils dans la baignoire et globalement un personnel froid et distant (sauf l’équipe du petit déjeuner)manque de qualité de dialogue en tout cas pas adapté à ce type d’établissement et détail pas de beurre salé au petit déjeuner.

L'endroit était parfait et très calme. Le personnel agréable, souriant, present sans être pesant.

Une salle de sport était manquante.
