Nuovo Hotel Del Porto

It`s in a great location, very close to the main square and nice restaurants. Good value for money. Staff is really nice, the guy at the reception can brighten your day even after he`s had a long shift there :)

The place is going through much-needed renovation work and we were there mid-work, which means a lot of construction noise and which also makes it very difficult to clean. We got a room that was very recently spruced up, but not thoroughly cleaned after the workers (the shower/bath still had a lot of paint splashes). It was ok for one night, but would have been problematic for more. I expect this will get a lot better in a couple of months once the work is complete and the staff doesn`t have to manage guests + renovation work.

We were greeted with smiles and explanations about renovations underway, which we had heard about. These did not disturb us in our room on the 4th floor. Leaving Bologna late afternoon staff were happy to provide a late checkout and stored bags. Ordered a taxi for us which arrived within minutes. Doing a great job with builders working around them. The location is perfect for proximity to train station and an easy walk into the centre of the old town.

When the building works are finished will be even better.

When I arrived I was told that I would be staying at another hotel due to hotel construction. The hotel staff said they sent me a message which I showed them I never received. I was escorted to a hotel that was $10 less than what I had paid for my original hotel. The hotel staff at the Holiday Hotel is rude, the toilet is broken, and the electronics keep making loud noises.

The service from the reception was excellent. I had booked an early check-in but had misunderstood the timing, yet they still managed to check us in earlier. After check out they called a taxi for us. The room was squeaky clean, simple furniture but very functional. The hotel was in the process of renovation but it did not affect at all our stay.

Front people were trying hard to make good impression. Shower output was weak but stable.

1. As soon as the elevator door opens, you will be blocked by construction. Literally you can’t go anywhere and half naked construction people need to move their things to make a way. A guy looked at me and said something, I think he said I should go around or something but there was no where to go. Until they finish their work for the day you will be listening to all the construction noise all day. Hotel did say they have some work ongoing but for this level of work, they should block one floor at time and work on that floor until it finishes. Show the photo of the situation to be fair. For the price it’s still not fair. 2. It’s not in nice area. As same as other Italian big cities, area near station smells like trash and this hotel is in those area. Recommend to choose any hotel that is located closer to city center, even by 1 block. I didn’t see any woman in guest. 3. Poor quality amenities, neon green soap and neon pink something.

Niente! Da denunciare !!!

The building is clearly under renovation! Everything is in ruins — wires are sticking out, the shower is broken, and the room has no nightstands, no wardrobe, no table, and no chair! Everything is very dirty and neglected! On our floor, some room doors were open, and inside, workers were sleeping.

Hotel is old and need renovations in some area. Staircase has funny noise when walking on it. Did not expect hotel to be that worn down. I had booked 2 rooms, the more expensive room I booked is not much better than the cheaper one, only extra snacks on the table. Despite all these unfavorable conditions. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Location is good. If you want to stay one or two nights, it’s OK .

Cleaning must be better

- Friendly reception staff and available 24hrs.

- Refurbishment of the premises was being done during our stay. It was very dirty, ladders and debris in the middle of the corridor. Workmen everywhere. It would be advisable to either close until refurbishment is done or else not to hold visitors in a level where all these works are taking place. Its very unsafe. - Very uncomfortable bed and pillows. - No wardrobe. - It was quite expensive for one night, especially seeing all the refurbishment taking place.
