Melina Hotel

The staff was always going above and beyond to help us with everything! Or room even had 2 balconies! So close into town and its in the middle of the island! 25 min up or down!

Very basic hotel but also quite expensive here in summer time at Santorini. Very good location as it is close to the bus station and the central town of Santorini which is Fira. Next time we will probably stay somewhere in Oia (IA) where pictured on most postcards.

Hotel is in a great location, just 5 mins to the Centre and the bus terminal. Staff were helpful, giving us a great rundown of the area and helping to carry our suitcases up the 2 flights of stairs. Hotel is great if you're on a budget and not planning on spending too much time in the room. The shower is small, with a shower curtain that sticks to you while showering! The bed was a little hard and the pillows too soft for our liking. Breakfast consisted of a toasted ham & cheese sandwich, chocolate croissant, toast, jams, yogurt and boiled egg.

Melina was my "Greek mother" for the week and she was so amazing! Helped to book excursions and plan restaurants and overall was so amazing to us. Highly recommend this hotel!

Enjoyed our stay at the Melina. Good breakfast, great pool, clean. Helpful staff. Good location, short walk to the centre. My only issue was with doors in the room. They dragged across the floor when you opened them and they made a lot of noise. I was concerned that I would disturb the other guests. A little bit of TLC was needed. The hotels friendly dog Hector came to see us a few times while we lounged by the pool.

a very pleasant few days

We stayed here for 4 nights and it was a very basic hotel so ok if you do not plan to spend much time there. Pros: The location was in a quiet area and only 5mins walk to Fira. Room was quiet and strong air conditioning. Breakfast was nice however there was no variety (mostly bread) and the same each morning. Cons: The room was basic and there were some issues as our door and we got locked out one evening.The reception was closed so we had to give the owners an emergency call. They came immediately however it took an hour to fix and there was no apology for the hassle caused for us. There was also no wifi in our room. Also, the transfer from airport cost is incorrect on the website. It was 10 euros each for single trip and not 6 euros round trip. I would not recommend hiring an ATV through the hotel. For the price we paid, we got a really poor quality/old one where one side mirror was missing and the storage container did not lock.

The pool was great, surrounded by beautiful flowers. Hotel was a little run down with raggedy towels. Breakfast was boring--same every day. But the location was excellent. Very near the bus terminal and to restaurants and the stroll along the lovely caldera view.

This hotel is located 400m away from Fira main bus station. Room is very basic with clean sheet and towel. However, floor is quite dusty. Breakfast is boring and 'bready'.

Good breakfast, nice pool, no blankets, wifi woeful - did not get it to back up at all during stay if 3 nights, Could not connect. & when you did nothing much happened. .aircon worked, shower cube was very small & the curtain stuck to you all the time. We had two blown light bulbs that were never replaced. Needed blankets & had to strip the spare bed. You are close to bus station & the public carpark # 3 but no where near the cauldron the outlook is the other side of the island. It us quite but you have to walk through the dark carpark to get back.
