La struttura è molto bella ma è consigliata solo a giovani e a chi non ha problemi di disabilità per via dei molti gradini.

Ammetto che non abbiamo potuto usufruire del soggiorno per un nostro imprevisto e che la prenotazione non era rimborsabile. Abbiamo chiesto di venirci incontro con un rimborso parziale (visto che non abbiamo soggiornato neanche una notte) e la ragazza della reception si è mostrata gentile dicendoci che ci avrebbe fatto sapere. Nonostante i solleciti non ci hanno fatto sapere nulla. Non ci hanno rimborsato neanche la tassa di soggiorno.

The staff were very welcoming, beautiful views of the sea. We used the pool a lot, Guglielmo is a wonderful host and runs a great restaurant, unfortunately we didn’t get to take part in the wine tasting which I’m sure would have been wonderful. We hired a car and there was safe parking across from the hotel.

Everything! The space, privacy, view, the pool with lemon tree, the dinner with a view, how close it is to the hiking trail head to the beautiful hidden beach.

Just beware of the transportation limitations to get there and plan ahead so you have plenty of time to enjoy the place and the small town. The bus runs only a few times a day and they’re easy to miss. If you miss one, you might need to wait for hours. The host also mentioned they can call a taxi from Sorrento which will be around $90 (2025).

A beautiful historic building overlooking the sea; with terraced gardens from which Guglielmo and his team prepared delicious homemade meals- even opened their kitchen only for us on their closed day! And if not for Guglielmo our hiking trip along all of Amalfi-coast would not have happened at all, as he arranged our luggage transfers throughout our whole holidays and made sure that we arrived well at every single of our 8 different destinations - a true host, not only when staying at his lovely place, resting in the shade of the old lemon trees at the pool and being treated freshly squeezed lemonade!

Guglielmo was very welcoming. Property itself is beautiful and our room was very clean, spacious and had a balcony with amazing views. Right next to Nerano village with small restaurant and grocery shop.

It takes a bit of time (~15 mins) to walk to/from the beach (Marina del Cantone) via some steep steps - not a major issue but just something to be aware of given buses are not that frequent.

Wow! My daughter and I had a fabulous stay at Villarena Relais. After 3 days staying in the midst of the hustle and bustle of Sorrento, Villarena was the perfect escape - a true Italian gem set in the charming and peaceful village of Nerano. The villa is beautifully cared for with clear views of the sea. Our apartment was spacious, charming and very comfortable, and set beside a beautiful terrace with a wisteria-draped pergola. The pool, surrounded by lemon trees was a perfect place to relax. Our host Guglielmo, went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. We had a fabulous time at the food and wine tasting experience for just the two of us! We toured the gardens picking fresh beans and salads to help make an authentic Italian starter. Guglielmo paired the wines perfectly with each course and shared his expertise on wine tasting. We learnt how to eat in true Italian style! The villa is only a 10min walk (downhill) to the nearest beach, with cafes and restaurants beside the water. There is opportunity to catch a boat to explore the coast. We highly recommend the stunning walk to the remote beach Baia di Leranto, with fabulous views along the way. There is a couple of small grocery stores with all the basics if you wish to do some self catering. And the cocktail bar 3mins away is also well worth a visit!
