Villarena Relais

Nicely situated with a very good kitchen for dinner !!

We had an exceptional experience at Villarena Relais. It is a very beautiful place in an historic building with an amazing view. We really enjoyed the authentic Italian food and wine from the region. And the breakfast was really good, too.

We loved everything. Fantastico host and accommodation with fabulous views.

Beautiful view. Multiple balconies. Clean pool. Quiet area. 30 mins drive from Sorrento/positano. Large space. Parking private and free.

When it rains wifi goes out for days.

Exceptional location in beautiful Nerano, giving you access to popular travel destinations on the Amalfi Coast. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, with Guglielmo helping us book various trips and excursions. The hotel itself is extremely beautiful, with a lovely, quiet pool area to relax and various other outside areas that are beautiful and well kept. The restaurant has amazing local food with fresh ingredients.

Close to sea

He Booked a boat trip 20 minutes into trip I got sea sick and they refused to take me back we only did 3 hour trip and got charged 913.00 it was supposed to be a 8 hour trip

Dream location, Perfect swimming pool to coll off Secure parking Rooms well equipped The host is a sophisticated man that offers a great authentic experience. If you are a fast food lover, don't bother. If you can appreciate a quality glass of wine and a proper meal, then this is the place for you. Our kids couldn't wait to come back after a long day to enjoy the pool and have as they said "the best food in Italy"

Having to leave

The property has its own parking which is fantastic. The location is really good with the sea views from the balcony. Also there is a restaurant with many seating areas. The pool was clean and unocupied most of the time. The wine tasting experience was really good, with a lot of food to acompany delicious wines. The room was clean and spacious.

If you get one of the best two rooms on the top floor you can count on 95 stairs which will be waiting for you to climb up in order to reach your room, so think about that if you carry a lot of luggage like we did. The late check-in (after 8pm) is extra 30 euros, whch we have never seen before (in most places self check in at any time is even a preferable option) but at least it was transparent charge. The next mindbogling thing is the Air Conditioning unit which is not included in the price?! depending on consumption its 0,5euros per kwh?! To make it clear this place is not low cost/economy/cheap accomodation, on the contrary it looks exclusive and is one of the more expencive ones in the area - do they really need to make money on charging these kind of things? Finally, our host (and the owner of the place) seems like really wants to stay on top of everything. He was the parking security guy, a front desk peron, a waiter, chef, cleaning tables, running wine tasting, runing finances... he was everywhere and doing everything from early morning till late night. Unfortunatelly, all that hard work doesnt leave him with much energy and motivation to give that hospitality extra mile and make your stay memorable. Instead he very often looked exhausted, irritated and didnt have much time for a chat, smile or to hear his guests needs, even though he was right there... he was just doing the jobs that should be delegated to someone else.
