Residéal

Lovely large, clean and bright apartment. A bit of a walk into town but close to the bus and train station. Very helpful staff. Only problem was the WiFi which was unstable. Antibes was wonderful.

We stayed for nearly two weeks at the end of August. Saw that they don't offer cleaning, which was surprising to what is called 4* hotel, but did not worry as mentioned this service is available at an extra charge. That extra charge is over 60 euros. If you ask for sheets to change yourself, over 20 euros. 1 small washing machine for the whole place, more expensive than a laundromat. Have to clean ur own apartment on departure or you will get charged. Wifi doesnt work at all. Also failed to mention the construction right under the window, so the balcony facility absolutely unusable due to the dust and noise starting from 7 30. Staff and manager doesn't care. Wanted to leave the hotel, they wouldnt offer refund for the remaining of the nights, even though the receptionist said we would get it. Not one smile from any of the staff whatsoever, anything seems to be a hassle. The bathroom had mould, toilet dirty, welcomed by ants on arrival. 1 toilet paper, 1 small kit for single use washing liquid and washing machine tablet. The only saving grace was the rooftop pool, which has beautiful views. This is not a hotel and offers no service. Will not come back and can not recommend.

General staff ok. but a definite no no! Wife and I badly bitten by BED BUGS, initially ignored by management who dismissed the idea until I showed them proof as well as supurating blisters and sores. Told to go to see Doctor, (50 euros), which we did, who diagnosed bed bug bites , providing us with a letter to the hotel as proof, as well as a prescription for a swage of antibiotics, creams etc. Manager told us to wash all our clothes in the laundry room giving us 3 coins and 3 wash tablets and he would find us another apartment, We spent 7 HOURS in the laundry room washing and drying our clothes. Still having ongoing treatment in fact my Wife has just had a bleed from one of the bites. Seemed it was up to us to sort things out. Reckon we had possibly 1 day of six doing marginal holiday activities:( Have composed a more comprehensive day by day diary/letter which I will probably refer later. NB: ALSO, WE PAID BALANCE OF HOLIDAY WHEN WE ARRIVED. THEN MY WIFE DISCOVERED THE HOTEL HAD ALSO TAKEN THE PAYMENT AGAIN WHICH SHE MADE THE HOTEL AWARE OF LAST TUESDAY 27/8/24. THE HOTEL SAID THEY REALISED THAT AND WOULD CREDIT IT BACK TO US. STILL WAITING 3/9/24.

The staff where very friendly and helpful, the Property had everything required for a pleasant stay, excellent location for reaching Monaco, Cannes, Nice and up and down the Côte d'Azur. If you are after a 5 star hotel then book one but for the average Mortal Residéal is more that adequate. Within easy walking of Antibes and the Railway station that unlocks hassle free travel to the French Riviera, would book again.

Second time staying here and exactly what we want from a holiday apartment hotel. There are significant building.works going on in the adjacent swimming centre but other than a less attractive view than normal this didn't disrupt our stay. The swimming pools are great, apartments modest but have everything you need and beds very comfortable.

You need to know that there is a construction site just next to the hotel. If you are unlucky (as we where) you end up with your balcony towards the construction site and will be woken up at 07:00 every morning. We didn't know that and heard nothing about it before checking in. The thousand dollar question is why they sell rooms that bad although they obviously know what's going on. You also need to know that the hotel staff treat you as a problem and the way they are dealing with that is that they are rude. If you speak french you might catch them talking about you. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Please do not book this residence unless you want to be woken up in the early morning by the screeching and banging of building work. See the current view from our balcony. We have three more days here and the manager is apparently 'unavailable' everyday. The most stressful family holiday we have been on.
