We found that all the hotel staff to be courteous, friendly and helpful. The restaurant food was very good and well priced. On the down side the room sound insulation could have been better..

We were made very welcome from the time we arrived to when we left. We extended our stay as we were enjoying ourselves so much. The proprietors are extremely positive and have a rolling investment programe to continuously improve their hotel. We enjoyed the food and the selection of single malt whiskies is impressive.

Charming staff, great value, clean, comfortable, we'll be back ! Good value hotel for family of four, or fine for business stopover too.

Great value for the price in France. Came in late & staff made sandwiches. Gates close @ 11:00 so be sober enough to do passwords to open.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at this hotel which is in an ideal location for exploring this area. The management and staff were very helpful and friendly and the restaurant food was first class. All in all we would highly recommend this hotel from our experience.

This is a really nice hotel and a terrific value for this area. The rooms and facilities are exceptionally clean; the staff is helpful and friendly; the breakfast is well priced and has everything you could want. We did not try the bar or the restaurant for dinner, but it looked very nice. Our only complaint was that we like to walk to and from dinner, and we were in a kind of industrial part of Saumur, 3km from town (it is not an issue for exploring the area during the day). We got over it when we realized that the hotels in town were much more expensive and not as nice. We solved the problem of distance from town by parking in the evenings on the "island" between the hotel and Saumur. Town is just a short walk over a beautiful bridge crossing the Loire River, and you get some exercise after those filling French meals. We loved this place and the surrounding area, and plan to return.

If you see this place from the road, you'd think it was just a typical road-side motel, but it's actually a lot more than that. It's a very modern, sleek-looking hotel that's located a fairly short distance from Saumur on the opposite side of the Loire. (Saumur's about a 10-minute drive away.) The staff there speaks enough English to get by (especially if you happen to have just a little French yourself), and the restaurant is quite good. (It's also apparently popular with locals, which I take as a good sign.) The hotel is located in a sort of semi-suburbuan/semi-industrial area (so you won't be walking anywhere), but it's also not very expensive, and it's very up-to-date, including free wi-fi. (If IKEA built a hotel, it would probably look a lot like this one.) If you're interested in Saumur or the Loire river valley, you could do a whole lot worse than to stay at Hotel du Parc. Definitely recommended.
