The village is beautiful. The room was clean. Bar staff polite and friendly.

The receptionist was abrupt and unfriendly. She gave very poor first impressions of the hotel. The decor of the room was bland and lacked any personality. The double bed was two single beds pushed together with two single duvets. There was no mini bar or tea/coffee making facilities. I was given gowns and towels for the spa but no slippers. There was no room service; I was told by reception to go to the bar who kindly delivered a good quality sandwich and coffee to the room but there was very limited choice on the menu. Overall a very disappointing stay especially for the price. Very much a case of over promised and under delivered.

Restaurant & breakfast (not value for money AT ALL !) in comparaison with other hostel, that was worse.

Location- on our way to Switzerland and close to the forest to hike / walk the dog.

Location of the room far away from the exit while it was known we had a dog. Price vs offer is about 100% too much.

Loved the location. The town is very charming. The room was excellent. It was beautifully decorated, the view was nice, everything was cleaned and well maintained. The restaurant, although expensive, was equally amazing and the food was great. The staff was very friendly and their English was very good. Overall a great stay.

The limited opening hours of the spa meant that we were rushing to the hotel so we would still be able to enjoy it. As mentioned the restaurant was a bit expensive and we didn't see a dish that seemed like a "safe choice". Something simple that almost everyone would still eat even if they're picky eaters.

Sympathetic modernisation, excellent room , pleasant view. Unfortunately like many hotels nowadays they have yet to improve their in room tv’ s and satellite. Good sized tv but although it said “smart” it did not support apps such as Netflix, Prime or Paramount. Which I can access with id/password anywhere. Luckily I could on my laptop.

Unfortunately for whatever reason, while I was loading the luggage into my car outside of the main desk, my wife and I thought the other had packed my black suit bag which also had my laptop in a side pocket. As I turned to check, I saw nothing of it but on the ground someone had dropped a room key-213- I handed it to large man standing in the entrance ( I believe he could have been the owner), thanked and left. We then drove to Troyes where we overnight before the le shuttle. It was then we noticed the bag was missing. I rang the Hostellerie and enquired if it had been found. “No Sir.” Because the laptop has a lot of confidential information it has tracker. When we accessed this it showed it was inside the Hostellerie! I rang reception and yes it was there in their luggage room! I then had to take another night at our next hotel (€120) , change the channel tunnel booking and drive 678km there and back to collect it. Panic over, lesson learnt. This unfortunately cast a cloud over holiday.

-fabulous setting, nested not far from Strasbourg and -high way, in the heart of Alsace. -chalet feel -comfy rooms and balcony -amazing breakfast!! absolutely a winner!! -dining rooms seem to have been conceived exactly for safe distancing ! -spa area is nice -f&b service is top notch -no credit card guarantee required for extras: this is super super nice actually!

-wasps/bees (many!) at the swimmingpool area do not seem to bother staff nor management for that matter -quality of lounge chairs at the swimmingpool: they are very uncomfortable -lack of real showers -internet is really not strong, not stable (keeps of constantly jumping out of sync) and is not up to par fir such a high end place.

tolles Hotel in wunderschöner Lage im Elsass, von hier aus sind tolle Ausflüge in alle Richtungen möglich. Wir hatten ein schönes, ruhiges Zimmer mit Blick in die Rheinebene und mit modernem Bad. Das Personal war immer sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Das lag auch am guten Essen, sowohl Frühstück und Abendessen sind sehr lecker und sehr zu empfehlen, aber nicht gerade günstig. Als Abwechslung bietet sich das Restaurant A l'Ami Fritz gegenüber an. Der Wellnessbereich ist groß und sehr gepflegt. Die Liegen waren meistens belegt, da auch Besucher von außerhalb kamen. In der Saison bekommt man sicher nur schwer einen Platz. Das ist aber der einzige Kritikpunkt.
