Hotel Briand devient Hotel IPL

the only good thing about this hotel was the location!it is very convenience if you want to travel to city by metro, it is 1 min walk to san lazar station,but overall for me is no!

Location: this is in levallois, right outside of paris- you have the TRAIN right a block next to hotel that takes u to paris main places in just few mins. U also have the metro but its a few blocks away. U have different restraurants and couple bars around the area and apparently from what we heard of parisians its a great area. We felt safe and good. Room: wifi worked great, the hotel was clean, just a bit small as all europeans hotels but for us it was fine. If u want extra towels they give u, but one of the ppl who works there wanted to charge us, so we said no and when we got back to hotel we asked to the next man and he gave us without problem. They give u a safe if u ask, but its the type that ppl can pick up and take it with them so be careful. There was a bit of noise one night with neghbor rooms but we asked them to be quiet and it was fine The guy that works there at night does not speak a word of english or spanish, only french, which was a problem for uS, bec we had some questions and he wouldnt even try to understand he would just say tomorrow english (referring to wait until the next guys shift) Btw- we also walked to champs elysee like 4 times its a beautiful 40-45 min walk Overall we are very happy bc hotels right in the center of paris were much more expensive.

The hotel was very nice, the room was very clean. Very simple place just outside the city with a metro station 10 minutes away. Good enough for what I was looking for. I'd recommend it.

Average quality. Suitable for a budget traveller. Friendly reception.

The reception staff were friendly and spoke english well enough. The breakfast wasn't necessarily worth the 8 euro charge, but was filling and tasty and beat attempting to communicate with Parisians at a restaurant or cafe. The room and hallways were very clean and new in the 1960s, but today seemed run down and worn. If you're not planning on spending a lot of time in your room then this place is good. If you are, look for someplace more comfortable. The hotel was a 2 minute walk from the surface train line, but since that station was in Zone 2, it was somewhat confusing as to how best to get to the tourist parts. We ended up walking about 20 minutes to the Porte de Clichy station which was able to take us easily to the Champs Elysees the Catacombs, and the Eiffel tower. The walk was a little scary at first, but once you realize all of Paris is like that the neighborhood doesn't seem so bad anymore. I'm not sure I'd stay here again...I think I'd rather spend the extra money to stay somewhere nicer and closer to the city center.

This is an excellent place to stay in Paris .The access to the city center is quick by Metro. the place itself is clean, and the staff is nice.

Bathroom was not clean, shower head was dirty. The excellent review is not accurate at all. Fine if you are not fussy.

Great value given the location; friendly owners on-site and whilst room furnishings are on tired side (revamp underway) both the room and bathroom where large for Paris. 10 mins walk to metro and numerous bars, cafes and restaurants in the area. Also close to large shopping mall (with M&S food hall!).

The staff was is very friendly and helpful. The Hotel is clean. The rooms are not very sound proof but once traffic outside is quiet, the palce is peacefull. There is a main train station very close by and it is only 2 stops from St Lasaze. I sure will visit there again.
