Hotel Des Balances

Beyond our expectations. LOVED it!!

Hotel Des Balances is an excellent hotel. We had a room with a terrace where we enjoyed a beautiful view of the river and the iconic bridge, the blue lake, the mountains and of course the city. The hotel restaurant was very good. The room was clean, the staff were very accommodating. We felt safe getting lost in this beautiful city. We’ll stay here again when we go back to Lucerne. Thank you!

The bathroom is too small. It was very uncomfortable, the rooms too small. The hotel is nice and very centric.

The experience of the hotel and the location was beautiful. I felt I was living in a postcard! I booked the double room and it was perfect. The food at hotel was spectacular. The bed in the double room was a king and there was plenty of room to walk and not bump into a piece of furniture. Can’t wait to come back!

Amazing property and great staff. Lots of shopping, restaurants, and museums within walking distance.

We stayed in a room overlooking the river. Room was small (as expected), however they made great use of the space. Beautifully decorated with heaps of storage. Room was super clean, as was the hotel in general. Top notch professional service. Only downside is expensive food, but this is a top quality restaurant and the entire area is expensive as well.

Was a great stay. There isnt really any nightlife in this area (not the hotel’s fault). So if looking for just a nice place to stay around great views, shopping, and restaurants this is a great location. Also close to train station which is very convenient!

Amazing hotel with a beautiful view of the chapel bridge. The staff was very kind and attentive to our needs. Would definitely recommend staying there and we will come back for sure!!

This place is amazing and in the heart of everything! The view we had will live rent free in my mind for the rest of my life. If you are staying in Lucern….treat yourself and stay here. The staff is lovely and the property cannot be topped. If you are driving in…deep breaths…you can drive to the door follow your gps or call the front desk and they will guide you in. Pay for the overnight parking…it’s worth it.
