Hotel Des Balances

This was an exceptionally nice hotel in the perfect location. Just a short walk from the train station and close to everything. My husband and I enjoyed a romantic 2 days in this gorgeous little city. We took the train to Mt. Pilatus and really enjoyed the cheese fondue locally. The room was spacious and elegant. The bedding was very comfortable.

It’s a beautiful building right on the water. Back of the hotel faces a cobblestone square which leads to old town. So convenient to everything. Staff at front desk could not have been more helpful with a walking map and booking ticket for a boat tour.

Incredible hotel with great location in Lucerne. 8 min easy walk from Train station. Staff is super friendly and very helpful. Rooms are SO big and we booked a superior on the river. Best hotel room we have had in our two week trip in Italy and Switzerland

Lovely stay in a beautiful city. The staff is wonderful - professional, friendly, and helpful. This hotel has a central location in old town Lucerne with a view of the river and the Chapel Bridge. It is a very nice property and is very walkable. The bar and restaurant are very good. This was our second stay here.

This is an amazing hotel and perfect if you want to indulge in the highest level of pampering. The location is amazing. We had a balcony room overlooking Lake Lucerne and directly facing the old Jesuit church. Great location and very quiet. The team at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. We especially appreciated Samira who went out of her way to be welcoming and very helpful with our many questions. This hotel scores a perfect “10” and we highly recommend it. Thanks for a great stay.

The room was spacious and it had wonderful views of the tower bridge and the Jesuit baroque church. My husband also enjoyed sitting out in the balcony.

This was located in the heart of old town Lucerne on the canal of the lake. There really isn't a view of anything but the canal and the shops on the other side. Rooms were nothing special. We had a suite and the furniture was stained and the towels were pretty thin. Shower was small and difficult to operate. Staff was exceptionally helpful and the food in the restaurant was excellent. Great location for going out for a stroll in any direction.

This was an amazing hotel experience in Lucerne could not recommend more! The staff was amazing and well you can not beat the view.

There is a construction site in front of the hotel. Had I known I would not have booked here. First morning I thought I had woken up on the tarmac of a busy airport. They moved me to a quieter room next day, but I would make sure you are not anywhere near this construction. As to the rooms they are not that great, so/so given this hotels cost and class I would have thought it would have been much nicer. Hotel restaurant gets high ratings, service was good, but the best food is found outside of Lucerne outside of the tourist area....This hotel is close to the Train / Bus/ Boat station so you can do excursions on Lake Luzern and go to the mountains which are fantastic/amazing. Daytime front office staff was nice.
