Eiger Guest House - Grindelwald

We can prepare breakfast and dinner at the apartment. Very comfortable! There is a big COOP store nearby.

Location excellent. Water for shower hot and strong flow. Kitchen fully stocked with necessary items.

All beds were twins so no full or queen.

Absolutely loved our stay at Eiger hotel. The staff were so friendly. Our apartment had every amenities we could hope for to make our stay comfortable. Still can’t get over the view from our balcony.

Had a great experience can’t think of one

This hotel is a 6-7 minute walk to the train station and is right in the center of shopping, grocery store and restaurants. Our room has a mountain view which was an upgrade. The balcony was fantastic for us to sit back and relax to enjoy the mountains

The room light is a bit dim. Everything else was perfect

The check in was smooth not much conversation we were tired so we got to go to the room quickly Location was great convenient to rail station and grindelwald -First Size of the room was awesome There was a washer and dryer on premises Staff was always smiling and greeting everyone Loved the coffee and cakes from 3 to 5pm everyday missed it the first day

At check-in explanations were not clear I used up approximately 12 to 15 euros on washing machine when the price for one cycle was €1.70 I informed 5 people of the staff 3 receptionist and 2 repair technicians but I never got my money back or a satisfactory explanation for the loss of my money each staff member told me that they would inform the next staff member on duty. It was like no one knew what to do and did not wish to take responsibility for the problem. The room was a bit old and outdated and doors were chipped badly from the sides and bottom. The TV was placed very awkwardly in the room next to the beds but the screen was away from the pillows. The feeling I got from the room was that it was a room that needed to be updated and was being used as a store room and was hurriedly cleared to give to guests just to make the sale. The lightening in the room was extremely dim for the size of the room only 2 bedside lamps and one light over the dinning table and a very bright light by the entrance which did not add to the main part of the room being light up.

Housekeeping did come on second day but didn’t clean the room & toilet. Then I put up “no disturb” sign. I was busy going out & forgot to ask for cleaning.

Short distance from the station

Terrible soundproof which made sleeps difficult. To make things worse there was construction work early in the morning

Incredible staff. Hotel was nice with convenient bar, wonderful spa included. Room was nice with an incredible view.

Nothing to mention. Staff was great and very helpful.
