Gstaaderhof – Active & Relax Hotel

Staff is great, location is fantastic and the restaurant is very good value. Will go back there without any doubt!

This is a standard hotel for Switzerland. It is clean and the bed was fairly comfortable. The only problem was that there was only one duvet, which they probably also use for winter. It was too warm for the summer weather. Hence, I slept with the window wide open, which brought in occasional traffic noises. For the price charged, I would expect a bit more.

Location is great - Gstaad very centre. Superb breakfast! Car park - very comfortable. Price is high but reasonable compare to others.

We went for a couple days before ski season. The hotel is a five minute walk from the train station, just down from the Promenade (with all the high end shops and restaurants). Hotel location is great. No hills to climb to get there and just off the beaten path. We pulled our luggage from the train station with ease. The hotel bar is nice, the restaurant has good food options (for non meat eaters). They've got a library and billiards room for hanging out (and places to sit outside when weather permits). Breakfast is included in room rate (at least for us). Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Our room was comfy and well appointed. Certainly recommend.

Given the location a few minutes walk from Gstaad town centre, this hotel is very good value. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel facilities are in general very good, the hotel restaurant was excellent for both breakfast and dinner. Our room was fairly small and basic, but clean and functional. The parking garage is fairly cramped so be aware if you have a large car!

A well run hotel , conveniently located just a few minutes walk from Gstaad town centre. Staff were extremely helpful and the hotel mini bus collected us and our luggage from the station even though it's within walking distance of the hotel. An excellent full breakfast was included and the hotel has an excellent restaurant for evening meals. Highly recommended for families or couples.

What more do you need in Gstaad? Close to downtown, convenient parking and bargain.

We stayed here for 2 nights and had a great time. The service was absolutely fantastic and flawless, from the front desk ladies, to the manager to the restaurant waitresses, everyone was very friendly. The breakfast is very good, and they are 1 minute's walk from The Promenade which is the main shopping street. If I would give them one advice, it would be to introduce free car parking (and a little chocolate on the bed would have made my girlfriend very happy)

Great hotel, just to inform future guests that the sauna area is naturist, which does not appeal to everyone

The only good thing about the hotel was the location. The staff at the hotel were kind, yet made you feel like an outsider. They keep the hotel at a balmy 64 degrees F, and no way to control the temperature in your own room. We asked them to fix our heat numerous times through out our stay. But after 2 bone chilling, sleepless nights, we decided to change all of our plans and leave early. After which, they refused to refund our money for the 2 nights we did not stay.
