Hotel Derby Interlaken - self check-in

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Hotel Derby. You can truly feel the warmth of a family-run business in every little detail, and it is clear that Jan, Tatjana, and the team put a lot of heart into making their guests feel welcome. One of the absolute highlights of our stay was the beautiful garden and the brilliant "garden kitchen." It was the perfect setup that allowed us to have a lovely improvised dinner, just sitting comfortably in the kitchen and peacefully watching the rain fall over the garden. The breakfast was another high point, offering delicious, high-quality options like fresh salmon and an excellent selection of cheeses. A special shoutout to Lory, whose incredibly warm and attentive service during breakfast made us feel right at home every morning. Finally, the location is unbeatable. It is just steps away from the large park, making it so easy to stroll over and watch the paragliders descend. Highly recommended!

Untrustworthy place! It was a horrible stay.. It was very weird to check-in. It kept asking us to pay even though we had already paid online. They gave us a tiny single room and a double room, even though we have booked two double rooms. And they charged us the same for a horrible tiny single room with one breakfast, as a double room for two with two breakfasts, only because they had no more double rooms available. It was booking fault maybe, but it made our stay very unpleasant. We hated the sink in the room, it felt like a prison cell. The hotel had no soul, no charm, everything felt so bland, cold, soulless. And the price was expensive for a hotel like that. Honestly w would not recommend it, and we would not stay here in the future, we would book a regular hotel with warm client service , and human contact. They even lied on their very unprofessional reply on booking stating that i still don't understand that booking a single room does not entitle me to have a free upgrade to a double room, which was never the case, i booked and paid the exact same amount for two exact double rooms, they did not have any availble so they just changed it. we never needed any free service or upgrade from you, but you sure needed to scam your clients. How little and disgusting of you!

Rapport qualité prix pas bon Nous avions reserve une chambre de 2 pour 2 nuits ..bius sommes tombé sur jne chambre plutôt petite avec une fenêtre donnant directement sur le parking sur le capot des voitures...le lavabo se trouve dans la chambre aucune intimité... Les toilettes ainsi que la douche se trouvent dans la même pièce et l'espace est très réduit La porte demi transparente n'est pas très intimiste aussi .... Je trouve que pour le prix de presque 400 fr pour 2 nuits cest vraiment cher!!! Sachant que nous n'avons croisé personne niveau personnel le check in et check out sont autonome devant une machine !!!!! Le petit déjeuné étais très peu varié peu de choix J'avoue avoir été déçu de ce séjour
