This hotel is situated in a quieter part of Zermatt, beside the river, but within a good 10minute walk to the train station. They also have free shuttle service if you don't feel like walking. We got an Alpine Chic Room, and we were pleasantly surprised to learn that it has a view of the Matterhorn from the balcony. The room was well appointed and comfortable for 3 (2 adults and 1 child). Breakfast selection was good and filling. All staff were warm and hospitable. My son also liked the trampoline in the hotel grounds. The only issue is that the room lacked hanging rods, and has no privacy upon exiting the shower which might be an issue if you're staying in the room with friends or older kids. Nonetheless, this hotel is a great choice in Zermatt.

The room lacked hanging rods, and has no privacy upon exiting the shower which might be an issue if you're staying in the room with friends or older kids. They also don't have hotel slippers, which is weird considering that the room floor finish is a bit rough/cold.

For a hotel that bills itself as a five-star establishment, the standard of service is simply appalling

They offered us upgrade for two of our rooms which we really appreciated, and we got a room with nice views of the matterhorn! the spa was nice and the massage was really good. Bus stop is really close to the hotel!

Although we got breakfast included in our booking we still have to pay extra for cooked options!

Beautiful hotel, well cared for and clean. We had a balcony room with an outlook over mountains, and that had recently been refurbished The decor was lovely and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, lovely dining room with nice mountain views. Hotel staff were fabulous - friendly, welcoming and helpful. The hotel has a gorgeous swimming pool and spa area (sauna, steam room, open air jacuzzi etc), we made use of this and loved it. The hotel is well located, close to central Zermatt restaurants, cafes, shops, etc.. and of course the Gornegrat bahn. The attention to detail at this hotel is excellent and second to none. We felt very well looked after throughout our stay. It was perfect for us, we loved the hotel and Zermatt. If we were to return to Zermatt, we would definitely stay here again.
