Typically Swiss Hotel Täscherhof

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, in the old building. The room was very clean and confortable, we didn't have any problem. The staff at the hotel was nice and helpful. You can park your car in the hotel and forget about it if you are going to Zermatt every day, as we did. The train station is just 1 minute walking, so the hotel situation is perfect if you plan to go to Zermatt or any other place by train. Also, they have a restaurant, so if you don't feel like going very far to have dinner, it is a good one.

Very friendly reception. The room was a bit dated but clean. The hotel is next to train station so it's very convenient to go up Zermatt but not good for light sleeper.

Very helpful and pleasant staff. Good breakfasts and restaurant. The Gämspfeffer (jugged chamois) is amazingly good. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

The hotel is nicely located in Taesch.. last place where cars are allowed before Zermatt. Parking is free which saves you money not to mention that this hotel has a descent price compared to similar options in Zermatt village. The rooms are spacious (we have stayed here twice) and the staff is friendly. Their restaurant food si also good and the prices again are better than n Zermatt. Only thing they need to change/update is the TV's in the rooms.. still one of thos every old small screens which is 100 meters from the bed... hard to see what is going on ;)

The lady at the front desk was extremely helpful and very pleasant. Couldn't be better. Our only issue: the proximity to the train station and bus terminal means that it is a bit noisy if you leave the window open for fresh air. Excellent value for the money.

Very nice hotel, we were in the newer building and the room was great. Right next to the train station so it is a 1 minute walk to catch the train to Zermatt. price was very good too, considering how expensive Switzerland is. There are a couple of convenience stores very close by to get snacks an picnic supplies, ample parking in the basement and a nice restaurant. The really isn't too much else in Tasch but it is a nice little town and the train ride to Zermatt is only 10 minutes, and trains leave every 20 minutes. Restaurant was good, staff very helpful with information about the area and you can buy discounted tickets for the gondola that goes near the Matterhorn.

I missed the train to zermatt and the staff was nice enough to arrange me a van to arrive for my glacier express just in time. The room was nice except that some rooms on the same floor were under renovation. Cozy little place next to zermatt. : )

A nice drive up a winding Swiss road. Right next to the train station. Zermatt is where you want to go to see the Matterhorn, but it was too touristy for our taste. The Tascherhof was a good choice.

Excellent service at the front desk. Helped us to get to hotel late at night and details for what to do in Zermatt.

Excellent for visiting zermat and mattahorn. The hotel has very minimum facilities, it more like a bed and breakfast hotel. The breakfast has few items in it. The rooms were clean and the staff were friendly. Also the train station is right at the door.
