Typically Swiss Hotel Täscherhof

Awesome view, large room, comfortable bed nice bathroom, very clean. All the staff very helpful and just plain nice. Right by the train station, but not noisy, you can hear the trains but only just. The station is right out side, and you can get discounted tickets for Zermatt and all the way to the top. Saving about £20.00 each. The car park is tight, but seem to be full only on the first floor, the second floor was almost empty. There is a lift from the 2nd floor into the hotel. It's also free to guest. We ate in the bar and not the Restaurant, it was very pleasant, a bit pricey, but it is in Switzerland. Good choice and the beer is excellent.

Perfect property to stay close to Zermatt, but not in the town. Close to the rail station. Enjoyed the new room with a balcony and view.

Good hotel amenities and great location

Very Clean and friendly staff. 10-minute walk from train station. This is a great alternative to staying in Zermatt. This is not a resort for my fellow Americans. So do not let the rate for in-season lead you to believe different. Bar, Internet in Lobby, great staff. Basic hotel by American standards. I will stay here again next time I go to Zermatt!
