International au Lac Historic Lakeside Hotel

Great location central to town, a vintage, historic hotel with nice amenities including spacious rooms and delicious breakfast. We were pleasantly surprised

Ideal location, decor intended to help you feel the history of the place without feeling dated, and the staff were excellent in all regards. We had the three person suite and found it more spacious than expected. Bathrooms appeared to be updated recently. The pool and back garden were peaceful and relaxing. Breakfast was great. Price was less than Lucerne or Zurich hotels.

Found this hotel by searching google maps for a place overlooking the lake for 2 nights and it was a great find that we will definitely come back. Get the rooms facing the lake with a terrace.

The property was well located and the staff was extremely nice! The room was also very clean and the breakfast was very nice as well.

I think that the room was a bit expensive for what it was. I know that in comparison to other venues in Lugano in wasn’t that expensive, but I still think it was a bit too much. Also, this is just a personal taste, but the decoration in the room was a bit dated.

I really liked the hotel. It has a historic charm, yet it is very well maintained. Loved the pool. Loved the 24/7 honesty bar. I had a great view from my room and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Right in front of the hotel there is a boat renting place or you can take a water taxi to some of the nice restaurants (grotta) on the other side of the lake. I was there in a business trip but I will definitely come again with my family.
