Hotel Aristote

Quality as I expected based on previous online reviews. Both the room and bathroom were actually larger than I had reason to believe. Half-way between Gare du Midi and the Grand Place area, which makes it a convenient stop to drop off your bag(s) before the short walk to the latter. Friendly staff and a generally completely hassle-free 2 nights stay. Didn't see any Belgian cuisine restaurants nearby, but drinks are bountiful and cheap in the area and frites are pretty much half price. A good better option for my next visit to Brussels than my previous stays.

Good location for Brussels Midi and Eurostar. It was a 15 min walk to both the station and also the Grand Place. I concur with some of the other reports that the area isn't the best. I have just travelled through Eastern Europe in the previous 3 weeks and this was the only are where I felt my personal security was compromised, not significantly but certainly enough to be on a higher sense of alert! Decent value accommodation and well located but wouldn't stay here if you are at all nervous at night or a female alone.

Very basic but clean room. Good Breakfast. Walking distance to central Brussels.

Convenient location, good deal for the money. Don't expect luxury but good choice to save money. Breakfast at 6 euros is also a good deal. WiFi reception at 4th floor was really bad.

The hotel is ok, not the best but is located quite close to grote markt etc. The rooms are minimalistic but for the price you can't expect a lot more. All in all, a reasonably priced hotel for the location and an ok place to stay if you don't intend to stay too long in Brussels.

Very basic but that's reflected in the price. Was fine for one night. Very well placed for all the central sights.

The tiles in the bathroom need some deep clean but other than that the stay was pleasant. Yet is not a place to stay long term. Hotel location is 10 min walking to the old Center, Maneken Pis and very cute shops. Everything is handy but not very cheap. The staff is friendly and helpful. Big thank you to everybody.

very helpful staffs

Our hotel choices were limited because there was a big event in town and we made our reservation at the last minute.. But we were able to find a room at Hotel Aristote, where we stayed for three nights in September, 2012. Given our limited budget, we were satisfied with the room and the quality of service. Brussels is a very multicultural city, and this hotel is in an area where you will see lots of immigrants speaking languages other than French or Dutch, but that was a plus in our opinion, since we get tired of seeing just other tourists. We never felt unsafe in the area. Overall, a good value for the cost of the hotel.
