Casa Lari

Casa Lari is an absolute gem! 10 minutes outside of San Gimignano and within 1 hr driving distance to Siena or Florence. It offers wonderful Tuscan views and a lovely spacious apartment with a/c and kitchenette. The daily breakfast is very Italian but plenty with different jams and delicious pastries. You make your own espresso or coffee. All is provided. The staff is wonderful. Small pool was very refreshing for our kids after a day of sightseeing.

Beds were way too hard and pillows too flat. Weren’t able to get a good night rest. They never changed our towels - we stayed for 4 days. They charge 10€ for washer and 5€ for dryer (crazy!). Considering the price/night, those services should be included in the final price. On top of that, the breakfast is rather poor and repetitive. They say they serve “fresh breakfast” but they really don’t, they just give you a basket with typical Italian pastries and dry food (not even enough for the number of people staying in the apartment) and they only give you a small cup of coffee powder, like you only have to have one cup per person.

It’s spotless super clean. The views from the balcony are to die for.

No public transportation, to enjoy the place and discover Tuscany, it is advisable to rent a car.

Everything was wonderful. Reception was friendly and efficient. The property is lovely and the view was magnificent. Wonderful location. We will return.

Location is ok, breakfast was strange- no fresh bread, just dried toast, jams, honey, nutella, no butter or cheese, everything was sweet.... milk, juice and water was ok.

There is a plastic under the sheet on the bed- you can feel it. Toilet does not flush properly... need to try several times

I love how modern, new and exceptionally clean the apartment was. The balcony was beautiful. The rooms were spacious. It was a wonderful place to stay.

The parking was a bit confusing in the beginning. But it got resolved quickly.

Very beautiful view and big apartament!

Italian breakfast only with sweets which is disturbing if you are on a special diet as it gives you no options. Also the facilities are old, eg. shower not working properly. Bad insulation (or I would say no insulation) as you could hear your neighbor snoring.
