Il Vicario

Lovely authentic Tuscan accommodation, the people and place were truly delightful. Wish I had booked a longer stay and will definitely return one day .

This B&B with a good sized swimming pool is a gem. We have stayed three years running and have never been disappointed Fulvio and Katia make it special. You get a warm welcome with a drink on arrival and continuous attention as needed throughout your stay. They make you feel like one of the family and you can come and go as you like. Fulvio provides help and advice each morning on where to visit and what to see and the meal in the evening is wonderful and excellent value for money. You get a three course meal, different wine with each course, followed by liquor and coffee for less than the price of a poor one course meal and glass wine in San Gimignano. The atmosphere at the meal is just wonderful. If you like rustic Tuscany, with no distracting TV in the room, then this is the place to stay.

Il Vacario is a wonderful place to stay. We booked just one night after we left Siena and had a great night with Flavio and his niece Katia. We opted to dine at Il Vacario instead of driving back in San Gimignano and what a bonus that was, a fantastic meal with accompanying wines sitting out in the courtyard on a beautiful Tuscan night. I would thoroughly recommend a stay here, it's well worth it.

Ideal location only 2 miles from San Gimi, very peaceful, but only a very short drive to the main tourist village of the area. Lovely pool with great views over the countryside. Fulvio and Katya cooked us a fantastic dinner with wine which was one of the highlights of our stay. They also hold cookery classes which I am sure would be very entertaining ! If you want to avoid the hustle and crowds of San Gimignano, but be very close to it, stay here, will will not be sorry.

This was one of the highlights of my three weeks in Italy! Beautful country inn with fabulous views. Take advantage of the dinner that the host cooks.

The entire experience was awsome from the time we checked in to our last day. Highly recommend you eat at the hotel. Great home cooked meal from fulvio. Icant say enough about our time at il vicario. Only thing to say would be to stay here you will not be disappointed.

This is, in every respect, a dream hotel. Wonderful, warm, welcoming.
