Hotel Monopol

The rooms do not have air conditioning and the fan in the room was mediocre at best. I also realize that air conditioning is not a norm in the area but, it was 87 degrees and that is too hot for a room with a non oscillating fan. However, the free mini bar helped with tolerating that. Lastly, reaching the front desk was difficult to do by phone since it did not work. Overall, I liked the property I just hope they find a solution for the heat because I did not sleep that night because it was too hot.

Easy access friendly people clean and comfortable.

Property is severely outdated. Shower handle didn’t work properly, room didn’t have a/c. Toiletries were nice and breakfast was decent.

The location of this hotel is the most positive point. Right across the central train station The minibar reffill has decreased. Excelsior hotel- same owner, next door- used to be much better! I was disappointed!

The room was a Sauna. Door to bathroom did not work. Bathroom had no ventilation. Window had no mesh netting.

Staff were very helpful from arrival to departure. Room and building was clean.

Hotel staff room and breakfast were great. Not the best area and no air conditioning.

A great hotel in a notorious neighbourhood. I knew when I booked what the area was like so I didn't mind it. It's an extremely short walk from the train station, which is convenient. The hotel itself is great. The staff were very friendly, and the selection of free drinks was great.

Easy transportation.
