Radisson Blu Hotel Altstadt

the location was very good, right in the center! the breakfast staff were great! very friendly and accomodating.

the younger staff at the cafe and reception were not informed of hotel deals that we purchased and were very rude about us “not paying” even though we paid through the website already. the young man at the cafe bombarded us multiple times and was very rude to us even though a normal conversation was possible. He did not apologize nor did any other staff. Their only excuse was that they “were new”. Inexcusable for a hotel of this standard. Felt like I was at a Hostel.

I had a riverside room that was almost as big as my apartment. :) It is in the mid of old city. Since it's an old building, there are occasionally some building noises. However, don't pay too much attention to reviews complaining about this. During my stay, I only noticed one or two brief sounds that were so minor I would have ignored them if I hadn't been aware of the comments beforehand.

Our room was quiet and spacious. The hotel was centrally located in the Old Town and convenient to other sites and meeting points. We walked from the hotel to the Hohensalzburg Castle for a Mozart concert and dinner. We easily walked to the meeting point for our Sount of Music Tour. We walked out the hotel back exit/entrance to the old town shopping area. The staff was most professional, knowledgeable, friendly, personable, helpful and accommodating. The restaurant at the hotel had an excellent menu, and the breakfast was always extraordinary! We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Radisson Blu Hotel Altstadt for a stay in Salzburg.

This really isn't in their control. I'm a tall person. The doorway to my room was low as were some other doorways on the property and after knocking my head repeatedly I learned to move about carefully. Just be advised if you're tall. The one elevator that accesses rooms 102 etc. could be very slow. These are minor things that in no way detracted from a wonderful stay at this property.

The property is located in the Altstadt close to most of the Salzburg attractions and is close to great cafes, bars and restaurants. Our suite was very comfortable and spacious with partial views of the river. The staff are also friendly and very helpful.

Fantastiskt läge mitt på centrala gågatan. Stort och fint rum. Trevlig uteservering.

Omöjligt att parkera på gatan utanför hotellet, långt att släpa väskorna till parkeringshuset. Gammaldags dörrlås på hotellrummen med vanlig nyckel att lämna i receptionen. Vi fick ett annat rums nyckel vid ett tillfälle, inte speciellt säkert. Jag fick efter att vi åkt ytterligare en faktura på 28EUR för diverse avgifter, efter påstötning så visade det sig att den fakturan var till en annan hotellgäst och dom ville ha mina kreditkortsuppgifter på en pappersblankett som skulle mejlas till dom för återbetalning av de 28EUR. Väldigt oprofessionellt och ett mycket osäkert förfarande att hantera kreditkortsuppgifter på.
