Post am See, Traunsee - 4 Stern Superior

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, especially the beautifully designed rooms and stylish interior. The breakfast was excellent, offering a great variety, and the views were absolutely stunning. The spa area and outdoor pool also looked amazing, and I personally loved the yoga room — it added a very relaxing touch to the overall experience. At the hotel bar/restaurant, we especially loved the option to choose from different table games — it was a really thoughtful touch and made one of our evenings there feel extra special. The drinks were also very good.

The spa area felt quite limited in space, particularly when it came to relaxation beds, which made it less comfortable during busier times. We visited in February, when most guests tend to stay indoors, so this likely contributed to the crowding. It may feel more spacious and enjoyable during the summer months when more people are outside. Both on-site restaurants were noticeably overpriced. While the traditional restaurant offered decent food, it still didn’t feel worth the price, and we didn’t particularly enjoy the more “fancy” dining option. This hotel may not be the best choice for families with young children, as there are no dedicated play areas, and the pool isn’t very suitable for kids. Additionally, the staff did not meet our expectations for a hotel that presents itself as “superior.” In particular, the reception staff could have been more welcoming and friendly. Overall, while the hotel has many strong points in terms of design, atmosphere, and amenities, there are some service and value-for-money aspects that could be improved.

Wir waren eine Nacht zur Auszeit vom stressigen Alltag, hierfür waren Wellness und Zimmer perfekt. Sehr gemütlich und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Super nettes und fleißiges Personal. Das Frühstück war lecker und alles vorhanden.

Wonderful place for a short getaway. Very stylish, cozy, and comfortable. The SPA is amazing.

Very good food. Very nice staff. The place and view is magic. ☺️

Die Lage ist hervorragend mit einem traumhaften Blick auf den Traunsee und die Berge gegenüber. Hier kann man den morgentlichen Blick vom Bett aus genießen und läuft Gefahr, dabei das tolle Frühstück zu verpassen.

The Breakfast had local made jams, breads, butter. The guy who made the egg omelette was super friendly making yummy omlettes. Dinner was exceptional too
