Very close to airport. free shuttle provided. Staff is amazing, responds to messages promptly. Hotel is clean. The restaurant has good food as well.

Staff were good and friendly. Shuttle to airport excellent service. Rooms are not soundproof you can hear lots of noise from hallways and outside around midnight. Good basement for dinner Nona’s food

We've used this hotel as a stopover for flights out of Malpensa airport many times before. We're quite happy with the experience overall. Here are a couple of issues we faced that may be of help towards improving the overall experience. There should be a policy which requires Guests to be mindful of others after 22:00. We were next door to a rather noisy telephone conversation that went well into the night, Breakfast at this hotel is adequate. However, during our stay we were told that food could not be replenished as previous guests finished it all. We did manage two cups of coffee and a croissant each.

Nice traditional european hotel and restaurant

Excellent and friendly staff. Our flight was canceled and the were very helpful finding ways to acomódate us a couple extra days. Restaurant is very good and location is perfect for flying out from Malpensa Airport.

Very friendly staff

Good hotel to use as a base for exploring the area, especially if you are not hiring a car, as the railway station is an easy five minute walk away, and there is an excellent free shuttle service to and from Malpensa airport provided by the hotel. Yes, the road you have to walk down to and from the station is a little busy, and in places there is no sidewalk, but anyone with the usual amount of road-safety awareness should be fine. Other residents might be a little noisy at times, but no more so than other hotels. Rooms are basic, but beds are comfortable, air-con is excellent and everything is kept very clean. The restaurant downstairs does very good pizzas, not so much choice on the pasta side of things. The staff at reception will tell you there is no need to book a table, but I think the restaurant staff prefer it if you do. Not much to do in the surrounding town, but rail travel is cheap and generally reliable - I would recommend the Trenìt! app if you plan to go anywhere by train in Italy. Good day excursions would be to Milan, Arona, Lake Como etc. and you could spend a leisurely, if slightly expensive, day taking the ferry from Arona to Locarno (order the on-board meal, it is excellent). So to sum up, the Hotel Sempione is a great place to stay and use as a base whilst discovering the area.
