Alberghetto La Marianna

Fabulous stay at this characterful hotel. Lovely staff and wonderful breakfast, served on the edge of the lake. Paola was full of advice and information about the local area and was happy to lend beach shoes and towels for lake swimming and even did a load of washing for us! Location is just at the far end of Griante lakeside but restaurants and ferry in easy walking distance, although the bus stops directly outside. Only drawback is the road, which passes directly in front but the positives definitely outweigh this.

Lovely, characterful hotel right on the shore of Lake Como. It is on the main road so if you are disturbed by traffic noise then this might be a problem with rooms at the front. However this is more than made up for by the stunning, uninterrupted views which are breathtaking! The owners are fantastic and really make this hotel a very friendly place to stay. The rooms are spotless and cleaned daily. The breakfast is the usual continental affair of cereals, bread, cheese, ham etc, and boiled or scrambled eggs! Ideally placed(1/3 of a mile) for the ferry(15eur for a day ticket) which will take you exploring across the lake to picture postcard hamlets!

Small hotel on lakeside. Delightful owners who were generous with their time helping us with their local knowledge. Good breakfast served by the Lake, weather permitting. Evening meal highly recommend. Free parking

We got a lake side view room with a double door open to a balcony. Even though we stayed there for only one night, we enjoyed the sunset view of the lake and mountains, and in morning, sitting in the balcony, breath the fresh air and looking at the fantastic view of lake Como. The hotel is walking distance to the ferry which runs every 15 min to Bellagio.

Pauola was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is served on the waterfront terrace if the weather is appealing and the bonnie Irish lass Kate negotiates the morning traffic to ensure you enjoy it.

While not the most luxurious, you cannot beat the incredible welcome& service you'll receive fromPaula, the owner, & if you 're lucky enough to have Kate from Ireland serve your breakfast on the sea terrace! This small hotel is one of the best discoveries on this trip! The other delightful guests I met were an added bonus...lingered on the terrace chatting for 2 hours with no one rushing us to leave & Lways willing to bring more cafe'.

Quiet, comfortable clean hotel. Wonderfully helpful owner / host. Great breakfast with all you could want. Close. the ferry 5min walk and close to villa carlotta 15 min walk. Beautiful of Bellagio from the hotel. Great price.

Fantastic 1st floor room with balcony overlooking Lake Como directly opposite Bellagio. Superb views. Room and bathroom the cleanest in all our stays in Italy. Lovely kind owner.

Nice hotel next to lake. Family-run. Award-winning cuisine. Very comfy.

Great place to stay. Wonderful views. The owners were very flexible and understanding. A stay here is not complete without eating at the restaurant downstairs. If you are looking for a wonderful dining experience eat there and you get a discount if you stay at the hotel. I would visit here again and highly recommend it to anyone. Did not feel like a hotel, but had all the amenities of a hotel.
