The location right in the centre of Lucca is perfect, Lucca is a compact and very walkable little city and from here everything is convenienly within reach. The suite is in a traditional old building but well equiped (even with a modern lift), well maintained and friendly. The owner Claudio was exceptionally helpful and went out of his way to help and welcome us. We look forward to staying here again next time we vist Lucca.

We only used the double bed ( there are also 2 single beds in the second bedroom) which is a little tired now but certainly not too much of a problem for the two nights we stayed there.

The location was stellar! A short walk from the train station, easy walk to Via Fillungo, lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Lovely breakfast, and Claudio speaks some English and was helpful. The building is old and has lots of character. I wasn’t looking for a “shiny new hotel” and this was perfect for me to have the kind of experience I wanted!

I didn’t mind this at all, but there were a LOT of stairs to the attic room I had. Be aware of this if you have mobility issues. I’m pretty fit and strong, but moving luggage could be tricky.
