Antica Dimora

Oh my goodness, where to begin! This property and location was so charming and unique - surrounded by greenery and vineyards, a quiet romantic retreat, and a real highlight during our Luna di miele in Italy! We were delighted with our room, the four-poster bed, wooden beams, character, and space for the two of us. And the owners and lovely receptionists were so friendly, welcoming and made our stay truly memorable. Thank you for your recommendations and tasty breakfast you put together.

This place sits in a quiet "village" (San Donato) a short drive from San Gimignano. Do note it is not possible to walk to the historic centre so factor in a car. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. The neighbours are a well-regarded family-run wine tasting place, a fancy restaurant (which we didn't try) and a hotel with a nice cafe/bar service across the main road. It is well looked after and the decoration is nice.

There were some stains in the bedding and sheets, hair in the sink and a detergent bottle inside the shower when we arrived. The room is slightly smaller than the pictures suggest, and the desk arrangement was just average as I needed to work for a few hours each day. It is possible to use an outer table right by the main door, but I d have expected a better setup for common areas. For the price, we would expect the breakfast to be better. This is overall a great place and we would definitely consider going back, but for the price, we though these were worthy remarks.

El paisaje del hotel es increíble, la atención muy buena estuvieron pendientes para ayudarnos a reservar y que nuestra estadía sea muy buena

Está un poco lejos de san Geminiano hay que ir si o si en auto pero el lugar vale la pena

Antica Dimora is in a beautiful location, and romantically decorated. It is a gem, and the best part is the stunning breakfast served in a picnic basket, overlooking the Tuscany countryside, complete with olive trees and vineyards. My wife and I loved it!

It’s a beautiful historic house and the scenery is beautiful and they have a cute garden and also a parking.

The bathroom is very small. The location is very nice if you have a car as it’s not in the center of san gimignano

I loved this place. Comfy, spacious rooms (different from modern hotels with 20m2 rooms) and a very welcoming host. They clean rooms everyday and although the house is very old, it always smelled nice. What I loved most was opening the door directly to the street, felt very special to me. Host was very communicative and helpful with fast answers. She also let us checkout later. Would recommend to anyone!

If you want a place away from it all, in peace and quiet, with beautiful views, then this is the place to be. Room was lovely, clean and good sized. The garden is absolutely amazing. Parking available and host was very accommodating with excellent communication. Will return ❤️
