An excellent hotel, very clean, comfortable and close to all of the sights and restaurants in Lucca. Breakfast very good. Marta (the owner) very helpful. This hotel comes highly recommended. Book Buca Di Sant’Antonio if you want a really good meal.

This charming, perfectly located hotel has well appointed rooms, a lovely, caring staff and a wonderful breakfast to start the day. Located on Via Fillunga, you are in the heart of Lucca. Dolce Marta and Dolce Ingrid are a delight - helpful, kind, fun and both speak excellent English. I loved staying at this wonderful hotel.

If you want to stay in the heart of Lucca, this hotel is the perfect place. It is right on Via Fillungo, the main shopping street. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Dolce Marta and Dolce Ingrid will take excellent care of you. The breakfast was superb and an excellent way to start the day. Literally steps from this hotel are the major attractions of Lucca and you are close to fun shopping, gelato, churches, street life. I felt like I was living la dolce viva. Pro tip - if you are walking from the rail station - an easy thing to do - set your GPS to car, not walking, mode. You will avoid the steps.

We loved this hotel. Only 8 rooms, so very quiet, and free from street noise although it is on one of Lucca's principle shopping streets and close to restaurants. The room (and bathroom) were spacious and comfortable; furnished and decorated in keeping with the historical period and gracious proportions. The bed was comfortable with crisp white linen. Ingrid and Marta were enthusiastically thoughtful, informative and responsive to every need. The breakfast was typically continental (ham, cheese, fresh fruit, cereal, bread, jam and cake!) with excellent and plentiful coffee. I have some mobility issues but found the 20 steps from the entrance hallway to reception perfectly manageable (with a refreshing blast of cool air from the air conditioning unit on the landing halfway up.) Highly recommended - even in the heat of summer.

Adequately equipped and tastefully decorated rooms carved from an historical palace. Esquisitely professional and warm welcome. Gentle and thoughtful attention to guests. Very comfortable and spacious double bed. Excellent breakfast. In sum: highly recommended (though not for people with severe walking disabilities, since, as well known, a few steep steps are always a "must" in any such beautiful Italian palace).

Beautiful hotel in outstanding location in Lucca's historic center. My boyfriend & I stayed here while visiting friends in Lucca. Our room was comfortable and spacious and decorated with authentic period details. Marta is a kind and thoughtful host and laid out a delicious breakfast spread with cappuccino for us every morning. We will definitely stay there again on future visits.

Very clean , comfortable, beautiful vintage property. Very pleasant and helpful manager Marta, helpful and sweet Ingrid. Wonderful breakfast with freshly brewed coffee, wonderful cakes and good selection. Can’t say enough about our wonderful stay!
