B&B Accorsi

Very affordable bed and breakfast, just 10 minutes from the center of Bologna by car. Breakfast is very simple, just a few toasts and an espresso from the machine. Please note, that the B&B has no sign that is a hotel, it seems to be a normal living house. The owner does not speak a word English, German or French. Purely Italian. It's OK to converse with hand gestures. Rooms are comfortable.

Simple B&B about 3 km from the town center. (No problem for us since we were motorized.) Quiet little road, no street noise. We had a large room with enough space for all our stuff. Shared bathrooms, not totally clean. And the bathtub curtain would urgently need replacement… There's noise from the other guests since the doors are not at all noise isolated. Everything's still in the 60s' condition. Breakfast simple with packed croissants and bread. No ham, cheese or cereals. The landlady doesn't speak a word other languages than Italian. All in all the 45 € for the double seem to be adequate.

Nice little B&B for budget concious. Sig Accorsi is very nice. TV, and fan in the room. Clean bathroom. Situated 5 mins from bus stop (lines 71,81, 13 and the aeroport bus). Bus #13 runs very late (about 1 am) so you can stay in centro the whole evening. I transferred to line 54 (one stop after the "Pontelungo" but only runs once an hour) instead of taking the expensive aerobus to aiport. Bologna is great with all kinds of centro activity. The Ducati Museum (need reservation) was fantastic! Buy the "gionaliero" bus pass for 4 euro that is good 24 hours. I climbed the "Asselino" tower and got a fantastic view of city.

This was a very pleasant B&B and was good value. The hostess speaks not a word of English but was happy to natter away anyway, so there was lots of nodding and smiling on our part. Rooms are nothing flash, but are very clean and more than comfortable enough. Breakfast was served at the time you agreed - toast, fruit, yoghurt, pastries and good coffee. The local bus service into the main part of the city was only 5 minutes walk away, with a frequent service. We were told about a local restaurant by other guests at the B&B, and were so impressed we went back a second night - Antica Trattoria del Pontelungo. We put our trust in our wonderful waitress Anna and without seeing a menu, enjoyed some wonderful food.
