Hotel do Templo & SPA

The hotel is very pretty, both inside and outside, the courtyard and gardens are very nice. The view from our room was impressive as well, and the bed comfortable and all clean. However, the service was a bit of a let down, not very attentive, and kind of slow. There is potential for this hotel to be the best, but for now, I have to give it a 4/5 just for the service, all else including decor, food, location are a ten.

Incredible location and views. Next to the Bom Jesús temple. Hotel needs some refurbishment and it can be noisy sometimes.

This hotel is located to the side of the church at the famous religious sanctuary Bom Jesus de Monte. Balcony rooms have a pleasant view of the plaza and the city far below. The beds are comfortable and storage in an armoire is adequate, but the space is a bit tight. The shower is excellent with good pressure and the ability to choose your temperature. Serve-yourself reakfast is excellent with scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon; cold cuts & cheeses, a variety of bread and pastry, fruit, cereal, etc., and good capuccino. There is no restaurant here, but there is a very good one in a sister Hotel do Elevador across the plaza. The top of the mount is probably the most popular tourist site in Braga, but it is a bit isolated for evening activities. Sunset views from the plaza just outside the hotel are beautiful.

This hotel is one of 4 located in the grounds of Bom Jesus. The grounds are spectacular and this made our stay very special. However the hotel whilst clean and staff helpful and polite, is dated and needs some repair (fridge didn't work). Bed mattresses were uncomfortable and I think the sheets could have been renewed based on the fact that this is a 4 star hotel. The wifi was very weak in our room and unsecured. Our room did have a small balcony with a view to the Basilica, top of the stairs and over the city of Braga, so it is hard to complain!

Great location right by Bom Jesus itself. The room was fine, breakfast was good, we loved the heated pool and jacuzzi. The one thing we felt was odd was that on the 1st night we asked the receptionist to prepare us 2 glasses of Bailey's with ice from the bar in the corner of the guest lounge, which she did. 2nd evening there was a male receptionist and we made the same request. He claimed firstly that there was no bar (!) and secondly that he didn't know how to prepare a Bailey's. We found this quite strange. Otherwise a very positive experience at this hotel overall.
