Palazzo Belmonte

We ended up upgrading our room to the main building and this room was wonderful. The outdoor breakfast location was very nice. Enjoyed the direct access to the beach and the use of the sun loungers. It was nice to have a short stroll into town where there was a good choice of restaurants. Having driven there by car it was good to have free parking onsite.

Beautiful property with private beach, emerald sea water.

This is a beautiful property with a lot of history. I wished we had paid for rooms in the main Palazzo instead of the. I’ll as - that was very atmospheric. Gorgeous grounds. Helpful staff. One of the best breakfasts we had on our entire 3 week trip! Located right near the main beach and the restaurant/bar/shopping area. The room terrace was lovely. Bar and breakfast staff lovely.

Their beach was filled with our clubs right next to you, not like the photo. Filled with seaweed; knee high! The main town beaches were not like this. Our bathroom was under the eaves and had a very narrow bath shower with not very good pressure.weddings were happening in many areas around our room, we had not been informed in advance. Pool Guy was completely disinterested in helping us on our first time to that area, didn’t look up didn’t offer towels didn’t ask if we needed a drink didn’t tell us where the beach was. Stayed on his phone. Driveway was not lit for our walk I to town (they do acknowledge this) but it was clear how we got to the villa to access the lot path from our rooms. Room needs an update but overall lovely faded glamour.

Very spacious and relaxing.

Sensational location overlooking the sea. Short walk to pool and beach. Delicious breakfast on the terrace with wide variety of fresh baked breads, fresh fruit etc.

Airconditioning did not work well.

This is an amazing hotel. It's an old Palace and the room we stayed in was in the main part of the house, and huge. The hotel has extensive grounds, and is 'on' the beach and 2 minutes from the heart of Castellabate. There's a beautiful pool and the staff were delightful and accommodating. There's lots of off-street parking and an electric charging point just down the street if you accidently book an electric car instead of petrol, like some idiots, hem-hem. Actually, I recommend the electric car but this is about the hotel, not Top-Gear. Go, and stay in the hotel. It's fantastic. Great breakfast by the pool, and a wonderful courtyard. I will be staying here again. It's an oasis in the center of town.

Beautiful old Palace in lovely setting and great location with superb staff and great service. Near centre of town so near many great restaurants, but with lovely beach. If you like old Italian, this is for you, if you like modern it's not. To access some of the rooms you need to be fit

Good location. Easy walk to town. Private beach. Nice breakfast area and good quality breakfast. Amazing view from our room in the villa. Very quiet and nice garden area to explore and relax. Very relaxing.
