Lucca in Villa San Donato

Very helpful staff. 5 mins from railway station. Comfortable and clean accommodation . Loved breakfast in the garden.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The location was excellent, the staff very kind and pleasant. We enjoyed a generous continental breakfast each morning, and appreciated the free parking.

Staffs were very helpful. She made excellent suggestions to different restaurants. Over all it was wonderful experience.

This was the most fabulous location just outside the old city wall and with onsite parking. The lovely Sylvia was a very friendly host and spoke excellent English which was a bonus. Our room was very comfortable and a lovely continental breakfast was served in a cute garden room with outdoor tables. I would recommend this hotel to anyway as being exceptional value for money with an outstanding location.

The staff were very good and helped with every request. A very nice breakfast that could be had out in the garden if the weather is fine. The villa was only a five minute walk to the main walls of the old town. Definitely stay here if you don't want to be in the old town.

Beautiful building, good rooms (but nowhere to hang towels in the bathroom), helpful staff, excellent breakfast, close to central Lucca

We were so completely lost and frustrated trying to find this place. It took 2 hours to find. The Italian translation to English made it seem as though this hotel was located within the walls of Lucca's old, historic town. But it was translated incorrectly. So we spent an hour looking within the walls (almost going into a limited traffic zone) and then could not find it outside the walls. They sent an email with directions, but we had no access to email, so it was nearly impossible to find. Just okay…nothing special. The breakfast area was way too small for the six families staying there. The pizzeria across the street is over-priced and horrible.

Very nicely situated outside the town walls, with a good breakfast included in the very reasonable room rates. Staff were friendly and helpful, particularly in reception and they made it easy for us by speaking excellent english.

Happy with hotel but request for twin bed was not how we found it on arrival even though it was confirmed at booking and re confirmed day before arrival and confirmed back by hotel. Shower broken needed to be repaired but was not done during our visit. Hotel well located for Lucca centre and bus station.
