Lucca in Villa San Donato

This was far above our stay in Genoa and half the price! Nice breakfast with a variety of items, clean and tasteful room and very friendly, helpful service. We got good restaurant suggestions as well as bike rental tips. We stayed three days and loved that it was within walking distance to the walled city and to the train station. If you come to Lucca stay here!

We arrived at the bed and breakfast and called the number listed as noted on the door entrance. Sylvia was extremely pleasant and helpful. The room was very quaint and clean. It did not have AC (which was not a problem), but did have a fan for the room. The free wi-fi available was easy to access and dependable. The B&B is located about 200 meters from the old village walls. The breakfast was excellent! Meats, cheeses, croissants, pastries, cereals, juice and coffee were available. Would definitely recommend this B&B.

This B&B is located very close to the outside wall of Lucca. Very easy access to the old city for people that come with a car, parking is available in the backyard. The manager is very friendly, English speaking, the breakfast is good and plenty of food. Unfortunately the building is old and not updated and in the bathroom was no heat. The Wi-Fi internet worked well for me. For the money it was a good choice. I would recommend it only to people that are not too fussy about their room and appreciate more the old European houses and a good continental breakfast (cereals available too).
